This is a truly beautiful place.

There was a lovely Remembrance of a very young child which was touching. My prayers go out to her family and The Beautiful Angel.

It is a lovely and scenic, peaceful setting. I hope that you enjoy looking at my photographs.

Stopped at St Martha’s whole out on a walk. What a lovely little church!

The views from the church across Surrey are amazing.

We were lucky enough to have a clear day!

Also the church was selling cakes and tea outside too which was very welcome!

If I’m back in the area again I will definitely visit. The walk was well worth it!

Lovely little church on North Downs Way and Pilgrims' Way. Situated on a hill with beautiful views over South Downs. Quiet and just lovely to visit and watch nature. There are two car parks on each side of the hill.

A great place to hike to. Going up the hill is a bit of a challenge but so fun. We saw lamas, horses and a rabbit on the way up. The view from the top of the hill is gorgeous. There are benches around the church where visitors can sit and enjoy the view. There is also a car park near the top of the hill, so the steep walking path is not the only way up.

Victorian built church in a unique hilltop location, with excellent views over the surrounding countryside. One of only three churches in England dedicated to St Martha.
There are parking areas at the foot of the hill, around a 20 minute walk from the church. Alternatively, you can build it into a longer walks from Silent Pool or Newlands Corner.
The church is open to visitors during daylight hours and is still used for regular services. From the churchyard, the nearby village of Albury, neighbouring Surrey Hills and distant South Downs are all visible on a clear day.

Absolute stunning view from the church. Pictures are not enough to describe the view, feelings and the beautiful sounds of this place. Excellent place for hiking and exercise too as the forest is welcoming for any kind of fun family activities.
The people that I met there while I was walking my way up to St.Martha's church, were very polite and kind.
A place I definitely recommend for everyone to visit and enjoy the walk in the forest and reward himself with an excellent view from the top of the hill.
I will definitely revisit this place soon!

This is perhaps my favorite place in the Guildford area. It's a good hike up from the town centre for sure, but is very peaceful & picturesque. The church is often open & if you are really lucky there will be a service on, or a concert. Plenty of history within, some very interesting artefacts and a place to just relax and take stock. On clear days the view is lovelly.
