Joining the Cardiff Rock Choir is honestly the best thing I have ever done and I wish I’d done it sooner! The joy it brings me is immeasurable. I have made so many wonderful close friends and now have the most amazing extended family. I have sung in some fabulous places and raised lots of money for charity. To see everyone singing and dancing along with us at a gig is the best feeling. Our leader Paul Mansford is super talented, a lovely lovely guy and the sessions are so fun filled they keep me smiling and bouncing off the walls for days. Rock Choir without doubt has kept me going throughout what has been for everyone a very difficult year and I will be forever grateful so thank you ?

I have been a Rock Choir member for four years and joining the choir was the best decision I ever made!
The choir leaders are amazing and so talented, they make you feel included and valued. I have made so many new friends, had the opportunity to perform in some incredible venues and sung so many beautiful songs.
Choir night is the highlight if my week, it's so uplifting and this last year has been no different!
Rock Choir and it's leaders have gone above and beyond to ensure that we are still experiencing the same incredible opportunities to sing, perform and socialise in a new virtual world!

I joined Rock Choir in October 2018 because I love singing and I hoped to make new friends too. It has been an amazing journey ... I don’t have much of a voice but my confidence grew when the lady next to me (who became a very good friend) said she listened to me to make sure she was singing the right tune for lower alto. I look forward to every session and to top it all we get to perform in front of audiences. It has been a life changing experience.

At the age of 70 decide to join Rock Choir.....good for the memory I thought....I'll have been a member for 5 yrs this coming October.
I have made friends, enjoyed performing.....which I didn't think I would! My best experience, singing at the Royal Concert Hall, Glasgow with hundreds of other Rockies.
My leader Elaine Williamson is absolutely brilliant, always smiling and encouraging....she is the BEST.

Rock Choir is a truly unique experience. It is more than just a contemporary choir. It is like a family which is full of people who love life and love singing. You don't need the best voice to be in Rock Choir. You just need to be 'you' and everyone in each choir brings their own story, experience and laughter. I have been in Rock Choir for 5 years and a choir prefect (helper) for 2 years and I have seen the power of Rock Choir to bring people joy and happiness. From rehearsals to gigs to national events - it is amazing. I would welcome everyone to give it a go because you won't regret it.

I joined Rock Choir in 2016, it was the best decision I had made in a long time! I had been caring for my father in law who sadly passed away after a long illness, I was lost. Then I saw an advert for Rock Choir, I love dancing and singing, neither of which I am very good at but decided to give it a go. I was so nervous but the warm welcome from our choir leader Charlotte and the friendliness of the Rockies soon put me at my ease. I really look forward to our rehearsals; the songs, the laughter and camaraderie are so uplifting. We have had so many wonderful experiences together and with other Rockies up and down the country, Edinburgh Festival, The Armed Forces Day Celebrations and BBC Proms in The Park to name a few. I count my blessings that I didn’t let my nerves stop me from going to the taster session, I have met so many talented, supportive, truly lovely people and my goodness we have a lot of fun!

I love Rock Choir. Its not just a choir the friendship with other members is like being part of a family. Before we start our rehearsals we have physical & vocal warmups to make the most of our voices. The rehearsals are like a singing lesson with advice for improving the sound of the song we are learning. We love performing our songs at public events. There is never any pressure on those who don't wish to take part. The whole experience is uplifting that lasts until the next rehearsals there's a free taster session to experience before you join. If you're undecided, Go For It! Try a taster session. Xx

I can highly recommend being part of Rock Choir.
I joined in January 2011 and have enjoyed many memorable performances at well known large venues, as well as taking part in smaller heart warming performances for charities and local care homes.
Our rehearsals have moved online during lockdown, offering us a weekly escape from the monotony of daily lockdown life, into the feel good world of music and singing.
The choir leaders are incredibly talented, likeable people who make the whole experience enjoyable and inclusive.
Everyone believes their choir leader is the best, but mine really is. Thank you Katy Seath and Rock Choir for your hard work especially during this last year 20/21.
