The opportunity to see God move mountains to shape KRC has been such a blessing to me. In 2020, I had to navigate how to homeschool my 3rd grader. I knew as things shifted in our state, that we needed a way to protect our children's minds and have a well rounded option to help homeschooling families. The founder Melissa Wheeler, who has followed the call of the Lord, has done an incredible job forming a freedom based program allowing parents control of their child's education. As a parent of a 5th grader participating in this academic support program, I am amazed at my child's growth in math and ELA knowledge. My son can not wait to participate and raves about each Homeschool Coach. His favorite lessons are in History and Nutrition and Gardening! Huge thank you to the credentialed educators who see the vision and pour into these kids. What a blessing the Homeschool Coaches are!

Our children have excelled since starting at the Kern Resource Center. We've always wanted our children in a Christian School so when we got the opportunity to have both of them in the same place, we were thankful. Our older son,10th grade, was on an IEP in public school yet only had a 1.5 GPA & was lost among all the students. In his 1st semester at KRC he brought his GPA up to a 3.5 thanks to the coaches who are able to give him the attention & assistance he needs. The small class size is such a blessing all around. The students are in a Christ Centered environment that holds them to biblical standards while teaching them so much more than "education". They learn real life skills. Our boys favorite is the garden fresh to table class where they learn to grow & prepare Thai food! It's truly a blessing to have a program like this in Kern County!

The campus has continual upgrades. It’s seems like the kids get a new school each week. The staff is amazing, and invested in to the kids. I would definitely recommend for parents who would like their child’s education to be out of the box from the public school set up. It’s definitely worth visiting!!!

Finding and enrolling our girls in KEC was the best decision for them and us. They had great teachers in their previous schools but were in such stuffed classrooms . KRC’s small classrooms and community school experience has then them oncoming home DAILYW talking about their lessons and experiences with joy and enthusiasm that we hadn’t seen before. They are happy with such a unique experience. They eat better; they sleep better from the physical activity. They are friends with kids of all ages and backgrounds. What gear curriculum as well. I’d you are considering KRC, I encourage you to set up a visit. I did. It is undoubtedly the best decision for our girls.
