We hired the rowing club from 2-4 to host a baby shower on Friday and had a fantastic time. We were able to access the space from 12pm in order to get the place decorated ready for guests and the mum to be. The staff were amazing - always popping in to make sure we were managing okay and allowing us to rejig the whole space exactly how we wanted.

The only downside is the room can’t be separately completely due to fire hazard restrictions which is understandable but it does mean people in the bar area can see straight in to the space that we hired.

Other than that, we were able to get some food ordered at the local Italians less than a 30second walk away to bring back for guests and the staff were on the bar throughout to sort everyone out with their drinks which were really reasonably priced.

Lovely place to pop into to have refreshments or bite to eat, food only served till 4,if your visiting newburn. Really reasonable price. Clean and tidy, the staff are lovely and so we're the toilets. Out side seating area but you are under cover and it's upstairs. You don't have to be member of the rowing club to pop in, little car park if you drive to here but other wise you can get local bus which is just right outside. Or you can walk like I did to get my steps in from slatyford-newburn-wylam-newburn then bus back to slatyford. Can't push it too much lol.
Had lovely picnic in Wylam, picked lovely sunny day for it. Very popular place to visit
People and families walking, running, cycling, plenty people rowing even paddle boarding lol oh yeah I even saw speed boat.
Lovely Italians next door also
Would i visit again most definitely and have told family and friends already
?X
