In the mid 1980s, I was attending meditation classes at the Birmingham Buddhist Vihara. There was no fancy temple back then - just a mid terraced house in the back streets of Edgbaston.
Also in attendance was one Peter Ridley, now known by the name "Bhante Bodhidhamma", Spiritual Director of the Satipanya Buddhist Trust.
If you want to learn how to meditate to the best possible effect and discover a way to lead a more fulfilling life, you are at the right place.

Incredibly well organized, lovely people and teaching. The retreat center is beautiful, comfortable and well kept.

I had some extraordinary circumstances and the flexibility available to deal with my situation was truly heart warming.

Great place for serious meditators and anyone willing to try on meditations. Charity organisation. Great teachers and quiet place for a real retreat, not for ‘holiday’. Give your brain a break and embark on a spiritual journey. Highly recommend!

The real deal. The monk who owns and runs this place is a focused and clear speaking teacher and guide in vipassana meditation. Blessed to have been taught by him.
