The house and commentary by the owner during a guided tour were both quite fantastic, the house and contents have a rich history, the rooms are beautiful and lived in, so have a very personal touch.
We didn't explore the gardens, having arrived late in the day, it would have been nice to have refreshments for sale, but please do go and visit, it's great and the overall experience far surpasses any National Trust property.

Excellent tour of a beautiful, historical house. We were welcomed warmly. The tour guide was most informative. Highly recommended, but booking is necessary due to the limited days of opening. It's a lived-in family home.

Private house only open for guided tours for a few days per year. Our guide was the owner and he made the most of the interesting aspects of the house and family history. Really enjoyable visit - would highly recommend.

Wonderful visit! We arrived early and the owner came out and sat with us and chatted about the house and grounds and his future plans. Our guide was a volunteer from the town who knew the House well.
