Still waiting for reimbursement for College kit as in receipt of bursary. Correct form submitted end of August 24. No one in Bursary will help. Complaint submitted but no update. What's the point in being awarded a bursary for hardship and not getting the money you desperately need!

awful college, facilities are decent but there is absolutely no support for the well-being of students. i was severely depressed in my final year and i felt they only cared about attendance and what grades i got. nearly dropped out and also they treat you like a primary school student still. wouldn’t recommend, don’t care about students

Sister will not be aloud to move class because it will cause other issues with other students so we ask for her to move she cannot move as it will carry the issue on then they want the names of students so they can have a word! Have a word are you for real? It’s gonna escalate the situation just move her away also this bullying has resulted in my sister relapsing into old epileptic fits after we worked really hard to get her off her medication all summer holidays they expect her to come into college and continue on as normal when she has no friends in her class they all sit over the other side of the room because we get sent pictures of this and they smile laugh throw stuff and make fun of her once you can sort this issue properly we can look at taking the review down but untill then feel free to contact me by any means or untill you help my sister move forward in her education rather than backwards I shall happily let people see how helpful you are as staff members! The worst part is she comes home crying everyday begging everyone not to send her to college, as a older brother who sees this everyday it’s heartbreaking and the fact they just expect her to carry on with not a single friend near her is disgusting! My surname is on here I’m hoping you resolve this issue so it can be put to bed if not I honestly hope everyone reads what you lot have put my sister and family through after already a hard enough year is horrible! YOUR CONDONING BULLYING! No care on the world for the wellbeing of students and care about their mental disabilities. And worst of all is the phone call to my mum about her having a seizure where they didn’t even know if she’d had one they said think what do you mean think you should know your a teacher! But no basic knowledge of health issues and completely annoyed my mum in the meeting you had today honestly wouldn’t recommend unless you want your child bullied but in any case other than the bullying she was enjoying college up untill that point so to be honest makes the whole college that little bit more disappointing

I phoned the Adult Advice Hub three times during working hours. They never answered. I left a message and they never returned my phone call. I emailed them (different email address than this post) and they never replied. I have no confidence in Exeter College.

Update: they did [eventually] return my phone call

Well want to make a review about this college I found it a disaster for me as I was out of education for a year thinking this college would be a great opportunity for me to learn new stuff and to make some new friends but first few months were okay felt like I have good friends and had a good friend group but few months after felt like some students were trying to manipulate me be secretive, bullying to me and didn’t include me and most of the other students were no better the people in vic house are appalling few them were nasty few students on their breaks drink in Northernhay Gardens being rude and smoking, I got a additional needs and anxiety but the support wasn’t great, I was on a course that would teach me new stuff but no i felt like I was being treated like a secondary school student maybe primary, they often a wellbeing specialist to talk to but I had to drop in, he came in my building weekly but felt like people would be listening as i couldn’t go to a private place or go to a booked time to speak to at someone Graystone and I am not a great person with dogs so that made my anxiety kind of worse but the learning support people in CCI and the security were like the only people who actually listened to me and my course is a special needs course with high needs students who can’t do daily activities like a normal 18 year can do but they needed evidence of me doing simple tasks felt like it wasted my time only lasted till May probably won’t return as the students and the teaching is awful wasn’t great with my mental health as I had a few things going on so i dropped out.

Absolutely no regard for students whatsoever, The college is too worried about their reputation to give a single inch of care to any student at all, here is what i had to put up with for a single year, let me repeat, A SINGLE YEAR:

-Got bullied every single day at all times, teachers didn't do anything about it

-Going through depression, teachers didn't do anything

-Teachers forced us to work on 3 different assignments at a time, and put out more work to do before anybody was finished

-Got put into a class with students that were more focused on being bullies to me and destroying the classroom than actually working, Teachers kept them there for no reason

-Couldn't work on passing my English exam due to the ridiculous amount of bullying and work being put out

-Forced to damage school property by bullies after having my phone AND credit card stolen by them, teachers blamed me for everything

-Reporting to the teachers why you are late doesn't work since they don't care about you, they'll just mark you as absent, also the expected attendance is at 95%?! Why?! My secondary school has a approval attendance rating of 80%!

-Teachers expect you to talk to a security guard for if you are getting bullied? Don't they have to, you know, PROTECT THE COLLEGE?!

Never in my whole life have i been so close to harming myself due to the lack of respect this entire college has, The teachers act like they are dictators and just let the students blow the place up, I'd rather be dead than spend one more year there getting treated like a punching bag to everybody there, and it seems like most reviews of this place by fellow students agree, I have Asperger's syndrome and i have had a mental breakdown 5 times over the span of one year there, How does anybody allow this?! Just horrible.
