Highly recommended, couldn't be happier.

After having quite a poor experience with another, smaller outfit in Exeter, I eventually contacted TPMT to enquire about a package of LGV lessons and a second Cat C&E test. They immediately booked me in for a free driving assessment with Scott who then made a recommendation.

The following week I was back learning behind the wheel. They recommended doubling up with another student, which means alternating a couple of hours each driving followed by a couple of hours resting in the cab watching your new buddy and learning the local test roads more, before doing the same again in the afternoon. This is an excellent way of learning as your actual driving is in shorter periods spread over the day, it makes the whole process more relaxed with 2 students and the Instructor, you get to see someone else making the same mistakes and you can bounce off each other.

Pete my Instructor was ideal for me, full of knowledge and ready to identify my mistakes and weaknesses without coming across as too critical. When you are arriving in the morning and having a couple of breaks throughout the day you will also bump into the other instructors, all of them came across as very friendly and professional.

The company is wholly based on-site so you can speak directly to the friendly office staff who will give you very transparent information and prices, do not make the mistake of going through a national agent who will just take a cut and then send you to a local company anyway.

Overall I wish I'd found these guys when I first started searching, it would have saved me a load of grief and cut a couple of months off getting qualified.

I had the pleasure of doing my HGV training with Trans plant mastertrain. Everyone is very friendly and know exactly what there doing.
The instructors are amazing and friendly.
I had Nik as my instructor was an absolute pleasure to be taught by him, he’s patient , calm and has years of experience driving. He’ll get you your license in no time. Plus he’ll get you crying in the cab, he’s got a great sense of humour.
