Was my 9 year olds first trip away. Went at the end of October just after half term. Activities were good, facilities were goods, food selection was good, but for some reason he came back with a high fever and stomach flu. In fact so did his friends. Were the food hygienically prepared? Were there ample soap in the toilets? Were warm water available at all the sinks? We'll never know. I do know however when my youngest grows older I won't be letting him go.

A little gem of a place! We've been attending sayers croft trails and half term club for a few years now. Incredible staff, many who we have gotten to know, helpful and really make it special for the kids. Its by far the cheapest event (trail) we go to, but one of the best. Father Christmas and the elves are magical!

BEFORE YOU READ : I WENT TO SAYERS CROFT 4 YEARS AGO, SO THIS REVIEW MAY NOT BE ACCURATE ANYMORE.

I went here in Year 5 and it was one of the the best things I ever did.

I bought a ruler, an arrow shaped pen and one other thing at the tuck shop, and I treasured those things for years. I just recently lost my ruler after having it for almsot 5 years.

On the first day we did orientation and it was so fun!

We also did archery, climbing, caving, we saw a meander (a tyoe of river)and walked along side it (river), looked for bugs and wildlife in the river along the span of 3 days.

At some point we also traveled through a village(?) And up huge hills and stuff, at the end we were at a high place that was connected to a forest-y thing and we played games there like "Whoever can find the Golden Snitch wins"- so a treasure hunt, basically. We also ate our lunch there. I THINK THE PLACE WAS CALLED Pierre Hills- or something like that. There was also like a view point where you could sit and look out from.

For caving, we had to wear helmets that STANK SO MUCH if you smelt the. But my group were the second group from of my school to use them, so it was probably just their sweat. We also found a secret ball pit in the cave, so that was fun.

It wasn't a real cave, but more of a replica of one made with plastic- which was fine. SOME OF IT SMELT THOUGH- probably due to the other groups sweat.

Food : Food was decent, pork is served here though- so read the cards that they put infront of the food. Schools also give you cards that you hold for lunch and breakfast, that say what you can eat: vegetarian no egg, vegetarian can have egg, anything etc.

Climbing : They teach you how to put the harness on, and you all go through the course at least once. I loved it so much and I still remember it 'til this day (4 years later).

I had the best experience here, we had hot choclate almost every night before bed and we watched movies.

The girls and boys had separate dorms and separate bathrooms. Teachers slept in rooms within the dorms.

They also teach you how to make your own bed, on the first night. They have bunk beds, which was really cool.

You can use the toilet and take showers. SHOWERS: The first night, for the girls , the water was really cold. But it got better after.

You have to bring your own shower stuff and toothbrushes and clothes and what- not.

They provide wellington boots for outdoor stuff.

My school unfortunately didn't get to do the night maze 🙁

We got there and back by coach.

At some point, we sent postcards to our families aswell.

Okay bye. That's it. Thanks for reading this review. 😀
