The YMCA here is fantastic. Honestly I have been given another chance at life I didn't think I would get. The staff here are incredible and I've been able learn everything I will need when I move in to my own flat. Everyone here works hard and every single person is incredibly kind and truly wants to do what is best for the people living here. Being able to live here is a massive privilege. If you are lucky enough to get here appreciate everything you can potentially do from that point onwards.

Having lived here for almost a year now I have had nothing but positive experiences. The staff are friendly and beyond helpful and the services provided, as well as the education provided regarding living skills, have enabled me to consider independent living where I previously had never thought it possible. I would absolutely recommend this facility to those that wish to learn independent living and seek a foothold from which to grow in to adulthood.

I am writing this review for a young girl whom from no fault of her own ended up in this medieval rats nest… I personally saw pictures and video of the room she was given… placing a young vulnerable person in a what only can be described as a former store room or meeting room…
The door was a fire door with glass,
The glass had been covered up with scruffy paper that people had painted over I can only presume,
One paper patch had a hole in it and someone had stuffed a mask in the hole to get privacy maybe!
A book shelf rammed with dusty books which was I presume wonky and didn’t stand firm hence the plastic bags on the floor wedged underneath,
The spring loaded metal mickey bed that stunk of urine,
The spare plastic covered mattress stuffed under the bed
A stack of around 6 desk chairs in corner of room,
Paint brushes on the floor from previous occupants,
Chocolate wrapper's left around,
Takeaway boxes
Someone’s clothing in Asda bags left behind
Towel left in room with stains
The previous occupants must have liked there talcum power as it was around the room,
Not even a tidy up had been attempted let alone a clean,
How the government agencies put people let alone young people in disgraceful accommodation like this in this day and age is shocking,
Staff at the ymca maybe friendly however managing cleanliness and common decency is far from your skill set…
By the above description you know what room this is don’t you ymca “ manager “ ?
( New broom sweeps clean ! )
…king animals
I have pictures and videos of this if anyone gives a shit… I doubt it…
