Since leaving my full time job as a MIS manager at an FE College, I have been engaged as a consultant with Further Education Partnership. The work I have been given has been varied, challenging but enjoyable. It is very rewarding to be able to create solutions that clients have been very satisfied with. Review of the Process to Develop and Submit the Chickenshed Self Assessment Report (SAR) to Capital City College Group (CCCG)

Chickenshed engaged Andrew Smith from the Further Education Partnership to support us in developing our Self Assessment Report (SAR) as a franchise partner of Capital City College Group. The SAR is a document submitted annually to review the progress of a course deliverer in Further Education with in Chickenshed's case the course being the BTEC Level 3 Performing Arts Practice course.
Chickenshed were immediately impressed by the thorough nature of the process with a number of meetings organised and documents sent to Andrew in order to make sure the information and data necessary to develop a comprehensive and unbiased SAR was compiled. Questions and interview approaches were both empathetic and rigorous with positives brought out and areas for development faced with solutions outlined. Andrew really worked overtime to make sure that the unique character of Chickenshed's inclusive education philosophy and practice, as evidenced in its work with multiply underrepresented students, was represented fairly and reasonably.
The final SAR was presented to Chickenshed in good time and then presented, reviewed and validated with Capital City College in a really positive meeting where the quality of the composition of the SAR was commented on very favourably. Chickenshed would not hesitate to commission these SAR development services again as the process took a huge weight off us at a complex and difficult end of term/ beginning of term with students attempting to recover from the Covid scarring process AND the cost of living crisis. Capturing the intervention work and outcomes achieved over the year whilst also capturing the best ways forward for improvement planned is a vital task and we are confident in saying that this task was undertaken and achieved with very positive and efficient effect.

The consultant provided was friendly and knowledgeable and worked with our in house MIS team to setup the reports that we needed, as well as going over and above to assist with some issues we were experiencing with our new system.
