After moving from Switzerland last year our 2 boys have now been at Heywood for just over a year. The change in them has been amazing and they way the school has helped them develop into thriving, fun, kind and confident boys has not only been noticed by us but also by our friends in Switzerland. I could not recommend Heywood more to any parent looking for a school. Not only are they doing well in the class room but learning so many new sports and making really close friends. Heywood really has everything and what makes that is not only the boys friends but the most wonderful teaching staff who cater for everyone and go above and beyond to make sure everyone is looked after. There is also a great social scene for parents. I can only highly recommend Heywood….

We started with 2 children in nursery and reception sept 2024. We loved the settling in sessions before our son started reception and being able to attend a few days of holiday club before starting school really helped his confidence. I am amazed at how much he has learnt in his first term and we now have a child who is really enjoying starting to read simple words. For a bouncy little boy with plenty of energy the fact he is happy to sit and concentrate on a task is a joy to see and a credit to how his teachers have approached this with him. We have loved being part of the school community with the Halloween disco and school birthday parties there is a lovely sense of community that comes with attending Heywood.

We feel extremely lucky that our little girl attends Heywood Prep nursery and will continue through the Prep school. Within weeks of our daughter joining the nursery our daughter was brought out of her shell, her speech and independence improved no end and she was excited to be going each day. Nursery related melt downs are now limited to when we collect and she doesn't want to go home! The opportunities on offer are vast and the specialist teaching is wonderful. Our little one will be starting her big school adventure this September at Heywood and we look forward to watching her flourish in Heywood's capable hands. Would wholeheartedly recommend.

An excellent school! My son and daughter started attending Heywood Prep in nursery and they are now in Year 3 &5, Heywood have always catered for their individual interests and the teachers are great, they genuinely care about each child, giving them great opportunities! Overall my children come home happy as they love school so that ticks all the boxes for me as a parent! I can’t praise the school enough, they are amazing!

Our daughter went to Heywood Prep for seven years, starting in the Nursery through to Year 6. From day one we were welcomed into the Heywood family where our daughter settled immediately. Without exception, every year she was taught by inspirational teachers who brought out the best in her. She developed many passions over the year through the extra-curricular activities encouraged by the school, from sports to music and drama. But in addition to that it was the way the school was run; the communication between the school and ourselves was always 100% and as parents we were always made to feel welcome and included.
Now in Year 7 at another school, the legacy of Heywood continues in our daughter being a happy, well balanced and charismatic individual, all traits encouraged as a Heywood girl.

My daughter attended Heywood Prep Nursery between late 2020 to spring 2021 while she was 3 until 4. She absolutely loved her time there and was excited to go right from her first day, she would often talk about her days and the other children once she was home and always wanted to go back again. The teachers, the Headmistress and her PA are fantastic and all very welcoming, incredibly helpful and friendly people who I enjoyed getting to know. The only reason we had to conclude my daughter's attending there was because of moving out of Corsham for family health reasons. I highly recommend Heywood and imagine the experiences your child will likely have, should they attend, be promising. Wishing everyone there much success.

This is an exceptional school with enthusiastic and devoted teachers. Both of my children have been there from nursery to year 6. During Covid the quality of online teaching has been brilliant and the team have really kept my daughter focused (not easy).The sports activities are awesome - Heywood punches well above its weight with pupils given the opportunity to compete at a regional and national level as well as against other schools. The teachers put so much effort into preparation and you can see the fun they have when you watch the end of term videos. I would strongly recommend this school. My children have successfully got into their 1st choices secondary school and are well set for success there too.

My child started Heywood in Year 4. He loves the warm and friendly atmosphere of the school and has quickly made friends. I've been enormously impressed by the opportunities that he experiences during his time in school that are additions to the expected lessons, such as learning how to play the violin and Ukelelle in music lessons, exciting STEM learning and maths investigations far beyond the realms of the curriculum. As a working parent the wrap around care and homework clubs have made family and work commitments easier. Finally, but by no means the least the staff are fantastic. There is often some zany fun going on which the children are involved in. The teachers genuinely care about who my child is and what makes him tick. We have been delighted with our decision to join Heywood.
