Wendy Blacker is the most patronising "teacher" I've ever met.

This has really put me off going there again to study. Awful.

I attended this college twice, first to study Game Design and the second time to study Music Performance and to say the whole experience was condescending would bed an understatement, during Game Design we spent more time learning how to make and organise folders on a PC than learning how to make games. When it came to the music course most of our time was essentially free period where we were just left to our own devices to essentially teach ourselves, I ended up leaving with no qualifications because we weren't taught anything related to the courses. The only reason I'm rating 3 stars is because the times I did actually get to practice music were actually pretty good and I met quite a few awesome young musicians who are now off doing great things however most of them failed the music course here. I now travel around the UK performing at conventions infront of thousands of people but none of that was thanks to this college.

Upon returning to education as a mature student I found it to be quite a patronising and belittling experience. A few members of the academic staff didn't seem to be interested in the modules they taught and rather alarmingly one of the teaching staff struggled to answer a query related to my course.

The bright and colourful exterior belies the below average facilities on offer. The catering was very 'meh' whilst the whole feel of the place seemed to be very left wing biased. I was glad to leave here after only a year and my subsequent year of my course in a different college was a much more positive experience.

Don't enrol on a course here unless you have no other choice.

Studied a year of my degree here.

Worst experience of education in my life.. for many reasons, not just ones listed:

•You're always told that if you had any concerns or questions then to just email the tutor(s), however the majority of the time you never get replies.

•When shown around at one of the open evenings by a member of staff, I was shown the art shop in the art department; This was a huge positive for me to have the shop in the department, and influenced my decision to choose this university to go to, so when I started in September to find out it had been moved and opening hours been cut?!? This is a huge huge deal, and to not tell students who made their decision on where to study partly on this is just sneaky ( and following on from that the course wasn't what was described to me- completely different in fact!!)

• The quality and engagement of lectures were not what I expected at university level at all; They were rushed and not inspiring at all.

•The environment of the department was always extremely stressed and so so unsupportive most of the time

Please, consider going elsewhere for the sake of your own sanity. You'll really regret it.

I recently had my first dump in the college toilets after attending for a period of time and I must say the service was great. The seat was devoid of any mess and the stall area maintained its hygiene very well.
My one complaint was that the toilet paper dispenser was situated too low to the ground, meaning i had to bend over... while bending over to wipe.

All in all I had a pleasant experience. 8/10 would dump again.

Most of my tutors bar a few weren't very good,
Being a stand alone dweeb in an environment filled with people that you don't click with kind of gets you ignored and forgotten about, and i was very much like this during my time there, i was there but it didn't feel like i was there so to speak. I don't know if it's altered much since but i doubt it. Things change as time goes on but these kind of things tend to stay the same.

Studying here for 2 years doing an extended diploma in Media Development.
College is honestly great. Teachers are understanding and flexible, and treat students with respect.
The content we learn is relevant and the lecturers teach it in a way that's easy to understand.
