Sat pts recert and coss here this week. Tutors were paul smith and dave craven have got to say how relaxed and enjoyable they made the course 10/10 excellent staff and will 100% recommend.

I had an interim COSS assessment booked in plenty of time to ensure I retain my competency.
2 weeks before the assessment was due to take place, I was informed that NWR had stepped in to take a possession, and would not extend theirs to enable us to access our site.
I infomred my sponsor as soon as I could, explaining what had happened, and it was outwith my control.
I was told that this company refuse to accept any excuse for postponement of the assessment, and full payment would be required due to it being within 14 days of the planned date.
I find it odd that most other companies only pay you if your shift is cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, some even stretch to 48, yet intertrain will pay their assessors if they have a job cancelled within 2 weeks....

Book with a different provider where they let you re-take for free if you fail.
Furthermore, we were booked on for the PTS and then the DCCR the following day. What they don't tell you is that if you fail the PTS, you cannot therefore attend the DCCR and BOTH must be re-booked and paid in full. That's £1500 . As a company they should really warn of this beforehand, not recommend booking it 14 days apart after the fact. To me this is the definition of money grabbing. DO NOT book DCCR within one month of your PTS
If you do still decide to book with this company, be prepared for a gruellingly long day which over runs by at least 2 hours, one 20 minute break in the middle, which you must use to drive to the live site and then back again, followed by a 60 question test right at the end of the day where you must pass by more than 90%, where the morning test pass, emergency call pass, pre learning pass all become irrelevant with no bearing on your overall pass or fail.
I failed by two marks and that's on me. What bothers me is the computer says no / no refunds approach to re-tests, and other bookings in general.

Excellent training facilities. Tutor/Assessor was really good too, making sure all your needs were met and all course information was sufficiently drilled and revised prior to completing examination. Recommended

Dear Reader, let me qualify my review by stating that I am not employed by, affiliated with, or related to, intertrain in any capacity. As my Railway Skills Bootcamp draws to an end in Novermber 2022, I must inform you that my experience has been positive from the outset. A lot of railway track workers are now earning a good wage. This is due to the unsung background office personnel that, unfairly, in my view, receieve little credit for what they do. I want to pay particular tribuite to a lady called Alisha. She has without complaint communicated on numerous occasions via SMS and email vital information that has allowed me to progress through the course. Her tireless dedication to her craft has, from time to time, received push back, even from me regrettably. However, that was due to me receiving incorrect information from an outside organisation and I subsequently apologised to Alisha. intertrain should be justifiably proud of having Alisha on their side as she is clearly an asset to the organisation. I shall end by showing due respect and appreciation to the trainers for imparting their knowledge, skills and wisdom on me and in some cases travelling from afar to deliver outstanding training. Thank you all at intertrain, Doncaster.

I've just been on my pts course delivered by Sam Martin who was top notch . his teaching style is well paced and draws great examples from his experience on the rails which are both interesting and relevant. His military experience shines though making him real easy to learn from . great course , well delivered . 10/10
