This is a worthy day out (or 2 if you really want to take more time to appreciate and read all the info etc in depth) Lots to see that is interesting, thought provoking and tied together with common themes. All in easy reach of each other so no trekking miles.l, as they are literally right next to each other, pretty much. Parking was easy to find and cheap, too. We visited the castle first, then the Faith museum, then the tower, then the mining gallery, then the Spanish gallery before finishing our day with a meal at El Castillo. All the staff in the galleries and Castle etc were knowledgeable and passionate and happy to share information. The displays in all of the places were done better than any other museum/gallery place I've been in, for a long while, really showing off the unique history of Durham. All high quality and visual places. The Spanish gallery is just stunning. Really beautiful. I found myself appreciating the rooms almost as much as the art work. The iris display in the Faith Museum was also really stunning. The Unlimted Pass was definitely good value for money and easyto purchase and use. The whole project is a real labour of love and it shows through the staff and displays. I really hope it continues to grow and rejuvenate Bishop Auckland as it is a pretty town (apart from the ugly tower block) but sadly there are some run down empty premises that look as though they were once grand places.

A really good place to visit for adults interested in history. The Museum of Faith is top class. There are also walks in the pretty deer park. The cafe in the castle is very good with seating inside and out. Access is pretty good, but the faith museum is a little cramped. Beware of the large bump to get through the exit door of the castle if you are in a wheelchair.

Well worth a visit along with the deer park.
Only gripe, they no longer have concessions for over 65. Shame on them.

Stunning artwork, exceptionally well curated and displayed discoveries with beautiful lighting and displays.

The factor which really sets the Auckland Project apart is the staff, both paid and volunteer, are uniformly so excited to be there and share their passion for art and history.

We travelled three hours for the visit and it was so good, we've already been again.

Very expensive for what little there was. The patch in the gardens were ok as there were additional lights, but inside the walls just felt empty and like a building site
To find out they were plastic pumpkins just made it worse

Visited the Faith Museum today. Totally blown away. Beautifully presented in a way that you just get it. The Iris did it to me in a way, well, it won my heart.
