What a refreshing change from some of the 'stuffy' stables I've ridden at in the past!
I haven't ridden for a couple of years but wanted to get back 'into' riding. I had really good correspondence with the stables beforehand and they booked me in for an assessment lesson.
I arrived a little before my booked time as requested and Alison showed me all round the stables, introducing the horses, and the dogs! I had my lesson with Simone who was absolutely fabulous, making sure of my level of understanding and ability.
All the staff I met were just so friendly and helpful, not at all like some rather 'snooty' stables I've ridden at. It was clear that the welfare of the horses comes first - as it should do - but I had absolutely the best time and am now going to book a block of 4 lessons to save some ££s over the individual booking price; win-win!

Larkspur is my daughter favourite place ever!
Such a fun riding school with an excellent management.
Horses, ponies are looked after on an outstanding way.
Lessons are on a very high standards.
Sarah, Heidi, Alison and all others have so much passion about their work.
Highly recommended!

My son started over a year ago with Larkspur and I could not have asked for a better beginning to his riding life. My daughter, age 7, started at the beginning of 2024 and has loved the experience so much! She is utterly horse obsessed and the experience she is gaining is wonderful. Lovely teachers and staff and horses are clearly well cared for and loved!

Absolutely fabulous riding school. I had a brilliant lunge lesson with Simone and am now having regular lessons with Hedi. I really love it there, the horses are taken very good care of and are much loved

Both myself and my daughter have lessons at Larkspur and we love it! The girls in the office are so lovely, they make you feel so welcome and nothing is too much trouble!
My daughter is taught by Ellie who is brilliant with the children. Simone is my instructor who is also wonderful! My daughters confidence and love for riding grows every week, as does mine!
All the ponies and horses are well look after and the yard team are excellent! I cant recommend Larkspur enough!

Incredible riding school, wonderful horses and ponies. The staff are incredibly professional and friendly. They have been so supportive of me as a 50 something returning to riding after 30 years. Everything is possible with the right support and you will certainly get it at Larkspur.
