I would thoroughly recommend that anyone with an interest in barbecue get themselves over to see Dan and John. I had a superb day on the Intermediate Barbecue course. Lots of delicious and inspiring food to try. Amazing setup where you can get hands on with all the equipment.

Seeing Dan and John in action is brilliant, constantly firing up different pieces of equipment and getting new dishes going. I loved watching the masters at work, talking to them about their passion and having a go at a few things myself.

Would definitely return for more courses.

An absolutely great day! I loved the relaxed atmosphere and how no question was off limits. Dan and John’s BBQ knowledge is incredible and they explain things extremely well, a true masterclass and a very enjoyable day with great food! The smoked sausages for me was a standout; just elevated to a level I’ve never experienced before, but the steaks were also incredible and that grilled lettuce salad was certainly the most talked about on the day. Thanks for a great day and all the advice John and Dan!

We had a brilliant day at the Yorkshire BBQ Academy. John and Dan have not only a brilliant set up, but a real passion for sharing the joys of all things BBQ. We did the intermediate day and got to learn loads, eat more and share a great day with others. Their approach to allowing you to get as involved as you want suits all.

A fantastic day. Dan and John are both knowledgeable and passionate about everything related to BBQs. The venue is easy to find and is set in amazing countryside. The event is informal enough to be relaxing but informative enough to be thoroughly enjoyable. I could not recommend it more for a group no matter how small in number.

Attended the beginners course earlier this year and had a great day with John and Dan. Good interactive course with lots if advice about whats good and also not so good when it comes to bbq supplies and equipment. Sampled some great food and got the recipes sent through after the course. I would highly recommend attending a course with these guys whatever level you are at. Looking forward to booking my next course in 2025.

I already enjoyed BBQs before attending the course led by John and Dan. Some fantastic insights into the kit you can use through to great recipes, all sampled on the day. Would highly recommend this to established as well as newbie bbqers. You will learn something to develop your expertise.

Spent the day with Jon and Dan for their essentials BBQ training course. They are both lovely gents with a clear passion for BBQing, they are both insightful and very knowledgable being able to answer all our questions that we had throughout the day. The food was excellent and gave a good insight in to what can be done on the good old BBQ. I would highly recommend this course to anyone just starting out on their bbq journey or if you want to gain some more insightful knowledge, or if you just love eating meat.
