I attended a Level 3 First Aid course facilitated by Titan Facilities Management Ltd on 1st May 2019. The course was fantastic and informative and provided me with the knowledge I would need if required.
What I did not anticipate or expect is that less than 3 weeks later the training would be used to deal with a situation with my own child. My 13 year old daughter had a seizure whilst at a dance competition and I was the only person with her. She had never had a seizure before and without the training I would not have known what to do. Although it was my daughter and I was terrified, the skills that I learned on the course enabled me to handle the situation correctly and ensure that my daughter was safe and received the correct treatment and support. I was complimented by the Paramedics for my calm and knowledgeable management of the situation.
I can’t thank Titan enough for the knowledge and skills they gave me during the course and would recommend any parent, individual or company to attend the course and educate yourselves on dealing with situations. You really never know when you might need it and without the knowledge I gained I don’t know how I’d have handled the issue with my daughter.
