I had a lovely chat with Dawn yesterday about registering at your Buckshaw Practice.
She was really lovely. Good advice and very supportive.
I have just joined a new practice in Chorley 3wks ago.
I was really suffering and feeling low. They would not book me an appointment that day. Sent me a leaflet and confirmed the emergency appointments on the day or not for mental health.
I am so drained and still no further with them.

I had been to A&E in Liverpool (where I go to university) the day before as I had a serious ear infection. I fell very ill the next day with a temperature, vomiting, feeling faint etc. Luckily, I got an appointment in on the same day for when I arrived home and was seen to promptly. The woman I saw was so lovely and saw to my condition with care and genuine concern. She referred me to Preston Hospital where I was treated that night as my sickness progressed to a serious level, as I was unable to keep down and food or fluids at this point and I could hardly walk. I hate to think what danger I would have been it if it wasn’t for such an attentive GP. Thank you so much 🙂

We were just going for a one-off for a blood test & the surgery was lovely & clean. A bright waiting area with good music on- happened to be a bit of motown when we were there which I love!
My teen has a huge phobia of needles but said the nurse was really lovely & made it so easy & was out quickly saying that's the best & least painful blood test ever had! The nurse was very understanding so anxiety wasn't as bad which made all the difference.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but the service has been so good I felt I had to. Every time I have had chance to speak to someone on the phone or request anything from this surgery I have been greeted with the most pleasant people and their help and attitude has been fabulous. Nothing is too much trouble and they have gone out of their way to help and sort things out for me. It’s an absolute pleasure to speak to the receptionists who are cheerful and helpful, I can highly recommend this practice, which I only joined last year after being at my previous doctors for 18 years. I signed up to this practice in error, I thought it was another one in the same area.
Having signed up I was then subjected to an appalling experience which I would not wish anyone to have to endure.
I was unable to get an urgent appointment with the only doctor at the practice, so I was forced to have an appointment with the practice nurse.
The practice nurse was far from competent, she refused to accept that I had a problem with my left knee. She diagnosed a torn right shoulder rotator cuff without even sending me for an Xray or scan, so perhaps she has Xray eyes? Then she referred me for physio.
Physio phoned me with only 2 possible appointments, one was a 30 mile round trip by car from my home, no direct busses. I could not drive that distance with a badly torn rotator cuff in my right shoulder and it was at a time when traffic would have been horrendous, in an area I didn't know very well. I twas also as with the only other appointment at a time when I was on shift at work and could not get time off without risking losing my job. The physio people claimed they would let me GP know that they would have to arrange something else. A week later nothing had been sorted out.
I asked for some urgent letters to be written to stop me from facing a crisis that would exacerbate my post traumatic stress disorder. They failed to write these letters and kept saying "they would write them when they can", they knew I had gone past the deadline for one that was needed and facing dire consequences.
They then referred me to another service who endlessly abused me over the phone and cancelled every appointment made. This GP practice did nothing to help and I was plunged into a bigger crisis.
On top of all this they then called me an ambulance when I didn't need one and I told them so. The ambulance service were not told by my GP as they should have been, that I could lose my job if I had any incoming calls during work time.
The ambulance service phoned me twice around early evening and during my work shift for a call centre, putting me at risk of losing my job and only source of income, they phoned me about the ambulance called for me by my GP, and despite my telling them that I didn't need an ambulance they came to my home at 4.47 am in the early hours of the following morning, letting themselves into my home and disturbing me trying to sleep after working an 18 hour shift, and they kept coming in and out of my home pestering me about an ambulance, despite my telling them they ahd woken me up, I had work the next day and wanted to be left alone to sleep and to get out of my home.
The police did nothing to help.
I am just getting over being attacked in my home aby a thug who pushed his way into my home and pushed me to the floor fracturing ,my left hip, so the last thing I wanted was to have the intrusion of ambulance men at 4.47 am which traumatized me so much I could not sleep, for the fear of them letting themselves in again.
This GP is incompetent, as is the practice nurse who told me there was nothing wrong with my left leg when it was burning me with severe pain and was swollen. The nurse simply measured my left and right knee and said it was OK, no sending me for a scan, despite my struggling to walk.
My advice is to steer well clear of this awful neglectful and incompetent practice and the reception staff spoke down to me barring one. They area nightmare and they damage health they don't improve it. They should be closed down they are a disgrace.

Very welcoming Dr's.
Friendly and efficient service from start to finish. The Dr is patient, he listens and works with you if required. It is his practice and also has a satelite surgery in Eccleston that tends to deal with a lot of the ongoing requirements of patients.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SURGERY.

My doctor is Dr.Amad and he is very good at his job,wait time is not long,receptionists are lovely and its always kept clean and tidy,even the bathrooms but at the school they dont clean those so i have go to the bathroom at home only,lol,after one drop of my new eye drops my doctor suggested for me my eye allergy is gone and i can now play with my rabbit,my rabbit is a lovely lil boy and i just want to thank you all who work here,even my doctor just for the help they give me and the eyes drops they gave me that allowed me to play with my rabbit again
