Wow .. top facility , friendly calm staff, and a massive opportunity to hop skip and jump a fair distance into trade work.
10 years many mandatory & voluntary dwp placements I have attended. This one by far the best , most interesting and covers multiple skills , safety, and a vast knowledge overall of the construction
industry , and I'm early 40s never done any construction work or picked up a tool.
Week 1 I have just completed and highly recommend will review again at the end of my course.

100% massive opportunity to be had via this place.

Photos are my 3rd day . Myself and 2 team members first attempt at block paving .

I've currently just finished my plastering with skills academy great tutors and staff extremely helpful. Highly recommend doing a course here if your wanting to get into the construction industry.

Got a manager that tries manipulating and pressuring you into doing another course that when you have no interest in doing. Also you could be waiting weeks to do your cscs test which is because they block book the tests and then upto 8 weeks once you pass for your actual card. What a joke it's actually a shame because the rest of the staff that I've dealt with are great just all these other issues I'd never do a course through them again I'd pay for it out my own pocket even as skint as I am

This course is definitely worth doing. From my experience this was very helpful and I’ve improved loads with what’s been provided. The staff here are amazing and they are not just staff they are also your friend it’s a great environment and it’s also very welcoming.

I've really enjoyed my time at Doncaster Skill Academy, The first week I work with Mark and glyn I've not got a bad word to say about them there both quality guys and we had a laugh, Week 2 I was with becky she's one in a million she really helped me understand the work and understanding the difference Regs, I'd definitely recommend the course to others wanting to get into construction.

I was sent by the Doncaster job center for the construction course, and I was given a test with several questions that had nothing to do with the field, they were grammar questions, not even one question was not related to construction, interestingly me another English colleague who didn't understand the questions either but he still stayed in the course, and I was told that they don't accept me with my English level .
