Came to visit with my family to see the snow drops. We decided to do the tour of the prospect tower too, which unfortunately did disappoint as it’s all modern inside apart from the restored floor in the entrance. I don’t understand how or why it’s been restored just for private apartments? All that lottery funding has gone to do up someone’s now house and it’s barely open to the public? Beautiful building and I admire the passion of the volunteers but it’s basically a fancy apartment block funded by all these charities and organisations. I don’t understand why it’s not all open for the public with all that time you spent trying to get it restored? The prospect tower was a modern flight of stairs! Like walking around an office block, it’s a shame I was hoping for it to feel more Historic. There is nothing for children and none of it was interactive. Also non accessible to blind people. No audio or braille on the plaques. I don’t see where my money is going other than the upkeep of someone’s private apartments?

Lovely snow drops and woodland, there needs to be more here for the public though.

I would wait till later feb as many snow drops weren’t out yet, but still nice.

Attended tower tour & walk round snowdrop Wood. You must book the Prospect Tower tour which is only on twice a week. Check bank hall FB page for current dates. Janet & John host the informative tour & are so knowledgeable. John shows pics of halls restoration & vintage ones too. Apart from the tower & exhibition room the hall is private apartments now.

Went on Wednesday 14th Februrary 2024 with 2 Friends for the Snowdrop Walk @ 2.00pm

Parking very badly Organised. Got to the end of Parking on the Road, NO Spaces. So my wife dropped me off and went Home and picked me up later.

No proper provision for Toilets or Refreshments

All in All, Badly Organised by Volunteers of Bank Hall

Snowdrop's were amazing and the Restoration of the House is Fantastic

Went to see the daffodils and snowdrops flowering displays. Very popular local attraction. There is a reasonable entrance charge to get in to the flowering area. Free parking.

What a beautiful house. We had a guided tour but we're the only ones there at 1pm so it was our very own personal tour. The guide was very enthusiastic and loved telling us the history of this part Elizabethan, part Jacobite, part Georgian building. Definitely worth a visit.

Every February Bank Hall opens its beautiful grounds so everyone can walk through admiring their stunning snowdrops and woodlands. Highly recommended.
You can also book tickets to enter the recently renovated tower.
