Lauren worked with us during an unbelievably stressful time for our family. We were overwhelmed, exhausted, and discouraged. She helped us problem solve, understand our options, navigate the unknowns. While doing this, she held space for us to feel understood. Having a child in crisis and feeling helpless was an incredibly vulnerable and scary time for me as a mother. I left conversations with Lauren feeling heard and also clearer on how best to meet both my child’s needs and taking care of our family system. Lauren helped us navigate wilderness therapy and then after, connected us to the perfect therapeutic boarding school. She’s been with us every step of the way. I cannot say enough about how professional, skilled, knowledgeable, and warm she is. Thank you Lauren!

Be careful with this company. Thirteen years ago we brought our son to Barbara Posner, the founder of this program. We feel we were taken advantage of by our desperation to help our troubled son. She aided us by sending him first to wilderness, then a crisis treatment center, and then to an RTC program in Idaho. If we didn’t pull him out, she would have had him go to another program after that. Our son is still traumatized from sending him away as a 12 year old. Our relationship with him has not healed either. Sending him away has also ruined his relationships with siblings and extended family. And then there is the exorbitant amount of money you will be spending. Be prepared for your entire family’s life to be forever changed. Maybe you will have better luck with Ms. seltzer.

Lauren Seltzer (took over the practice in 2019) is amazing. She has helped to transform our family through guiding our son to the perfect placement(s) where we were able to get him the help he needed, and at the same time get our family support that we needed so desperately. She is a kind, experienced EC and therapist. She compassionately guided us with recommendations that were right for us, carefully taking into account all of my son's history and keeping connected to his therapy team at each placement so that we could feel carried and supported. I highly recommend using Lauren. She's been in the field for a very long time and we couldn't have done this without her.

Lauren is the new owner of the business, bringing fresh ideas and critical in depth knowledge of all types of programs and resources. Before consulting her I was lost and didn’t have any idea where to start. After speaking with one of the program intake coordinators she recommended I finally felt like our family was on the right path after years of trying to help our son. Lauren Seltzer has been a life saver for our family. When we were struggling with the quality of care that were able to find on our own, Lauren helped redirect us through multiple treatment options - getting to know us well, and following up regularly as our needs changed.
