This review maybe a little bias given that I previously volunteered at this Barnardos branch. But from the experience I had for the past 6 years of volunteering, I met a lot of wonderful volunteers/staff, found wonderful items to purchase, and developed great skills as a volunteer which came in a lot of help later in my own personal career. Its always a joy to visit when I can and see what items the shop are selling.

I understand that many people working in charity shops volunteer their time, however the woman running the shop on Monday morning was incredibly rude to myself and other customers.

Having tried a couple of items on in the changing room right by the till (with permission, and letting her know how many I had), I returned both back where they belonged as the assistant was busy sorting other items, and headed to the exit. The assistant shouted across the shop to me, in front of other customers, asking where the items were and accusing me of stealing them.

Other customers were given short, curt answers to very reasonable questions about items on sale.

Overall, not a pleasant shopping environment - will be avoiding in favour of the other charity shops in Crouch End in future.

Good shop but recently not open what going on why is it not open at 10 like google says

Some good quality items but what gets me is that on the label they will write 'new' and up price it, when it is not new, (one thing labeled 'new' the other day had a broken lid). Also they had an actual new bag in there but they priced more than the sale tag discount the bag had on it. They sold single multipack nappies the same price as the shop.
There are many reasons people go to charity shops, but one of the reasons for me is to find a bargain. If I'm paying full price it's a lot less hassle to go and buy it first hand in the shop.

Lovely staff. In competition with 9 other charity shops in Crouch End, this place was a little pricey when first opened a few months back, but new manager seems to have addressed that issue, and made the whole experience a little more welcoming.

I've found some real bargains although sometimes things are a bit over priced given they are second hand. Staff are usually perfectly pleasant.
