Beautiful stunning mosque from the outside but was really disappointed that they were closed. They had a timetable outside of the gate but I believe a mosque should never be closed or open in certain jamah time. It should be open to all regardless of the time. We wanted to pray Asr as we were running late but found the mosque closed. Some other people were also there and went back. There was a gentleman inside but he didn’t look at us. We tried calling the mosque number from google but no one answered. Really disappointing and sad. But alhamdulillah found another place down the street which is a community centre and prayed Asr there.

My memories of Turnpike Lane from my younger years weren’t the most positive—small butcher shops and a somewhat unimpressive atmosphere. But over the years, this area has transformed drastically. It’s now my go-to spot for groceries and other essentials, with Wood Green Shopping Center just around the corner serving as my hub for almost everything, even my barber.

In the midst of this vibrant area, by the grace of Allah, I’ve discovered an amazing Masjid that has truly set in my heart. From the outside, as you’re driving up the road, you wouldn’t think such a grand Masjid with a dome and minaret would be nestled here. But as soon as you step inside, the ambience is incredible—peaceful and welcoming.

I stumbled upon this Masjid while searching for a place to pray during a visit to Turnpike Lane, and Alhamdulillah, it has become a significant part of my life. I’ve even had the opportunity to cover their 40th-year anniversary through my work in social media. The event highlighted their journey as a community, and it was deeply inspiring. Recently, I attended a ghusl workshop organized by the Masjid and led by a local Muslim funeral director. It was educational and heartfelt, demonstrating the Masjid’s commitment to serving the community.

The Imam, Shaykh Qazi, is incredibly approachable and kind. Whether you need advice or just someone to talk to, he makes you feel at ease. The Masjid itself is spacious, with a large prayer hall, a function room for events and lectures, and facilities for a madrasa. What truly stands out is the diversity of the congregation—Muslims from various backgrounds coming together in worship and community.

One of the most heartwarming initiatives is the father’s breakfast mornings, where brothers gather to share their thoughts, feelings, and challenges in navigating fatherhood in today’s world. It has given me a sense of belonging and a space to connect with others on a deeper level.

I am incredibly grateful to have found this Masjid. May Allah protect and preserve this beautiful place and the community that makes it special. Ameen.

Initial thoughts while walking up to masjid, was worried coming to a Shia establishment,

الحمد لله

Saw a few african brothers going there tho which eased the tension as they are very unlikely to be of the rafidah creed,

Also after maghrib salah noticed the tjs doing there talim,

Having checked out the facilities I realised this is a jamietul - islam esque establishment,

Isha mua'dahin was off tho,

Reading the other reviews of this place id prbly avoid for jummah,

Nice and clean masjid in general not bad for musafirs 4/5

This is an incredibley organised, clean and spacious mosque. Upon entrance you are greeted by a member of staff. They will offer you a hand stanitiser, disposable prayer mat and face mask. Then you are directed to the relavant part of the building depending on your purpose of the visit. This really helps new visitors massively. It makes the overall experience so much better.

The ground floor is the main prayer hall. On the 1st floor there is a large hall for events, weddings, etc. On the 2nd floor is a madrasa for kids.

The decor is stunning, the whole place is so clean, it is refreshing to visit.

Nice, clean mosque with a calm, ambient atmosphere and the architecture of the building itself is stunning. Always happy to donate to any cause which the mosque will highlight to all brothers and sisters and encourage them to donate as often as they can.
