What a useful great way to spend an afternoon learning practical diy drill skills. Dave was a great tutor. He explained it for me in my language (blonde & senior). He was patient & informative plus he made me laugh. I came away with a new confidence & I can't wait to get going with my drill!! Will return for the plumbing workshop. Thanks

Having previously purchased the online ‘winterproofing your home’ course, which I found to be really informative, I spent the day down at the ‘How to Basically’ workshop enjoying both the power drill workshop and then putting these skills to use making a wine caddy in the pallet woodworking session.
Our instructor Dave made it a really enjoyable day and being a small group he was able to spend time with us all. I was able to gain valuable hands-on experience and developed confidence in the use of different types of wall fixings whilst learning more than a few tips and tricks throughout both sessions.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend these workshops - Looking forward to trying the plumbing course next!

Attended a painting/decorating class with Dave today. A fun & very informative session. Lots of useful tips & Dave's relaxed teaching style gave me the confidence to make a start on painting my home myself. Would recommend to anyone wanting to learn the basics and to gain confidence. Lots of other useful courses on offer too. Highly recommend.

A great workshop. Fun, informative and empowering. Dave was brilliant at explaining everything and demonstrating how easy it was to use the tools and equipment. We were shown how to safely and easily pull apart a pallet as well as use drills , screwdrivers , saws and electric sanders to create a wonderful rustic wine carrier.

Justin put together a special 1:1 session for my son who is neurodivergent. He learned so much during the class and was hands-on with drills and other equipment, he thoroughly enjoyed it. Justin went out of his way to consider what my son would find useful, and to make the class accessible and appropriate to his needs. This has really helped my son on his journey towards independence and self-confidence.

The power drills course was so helpful. I learnt a lot & it has given me more confidence to approach DIY tasks in the home. The instructor was really friendly, approachable & patient. His teaching style was clear & he was happy to answer questions & repeat information when needed. There was plenty of time to practice skills though could have done with an extra 30mins to cover drilling into tile as this would be a useful add on. Thank you so much I am looking forward to booking onto another course soon!

I attended the Drilling course and it was BRILLIANT!!! Dave was patient and didn't mind my endless questions. I came away feeling very equipped... and I can't stop knocking on walls to check what sort of drill-bit I might use for them. Highly recommend.
