Would have given them 0 stars if it was an option. Absolutely shocking from start to finish. Paid and enrolled on a 5 week course. I didn't recieve my theory paperwork until 12 month after. Completed and handed it in and still waiting for my results and certificate. It has now been 7 months! Contacted numerous times to be given different excuses every time. Contacted AIM and they ahve now advised me to make a formal complaint before they can intervene. Please do not learn with this company you will deeply regret it. The tried to blame it on changing from an OCN to AIM but I have Contacted Aim and they have confirmed that is incorrect. I have also contacted different grooming schools who have also gone through the same process and they have had no problems with their students and certificates. Also I have been speaking to past students who have had the same issues even before the change over.

I was also told numerous times I had completed assessments which I knew I hadn't. These were meant to be grooms assessed by your tutor on specific breeds and style type which included alot of paperwork to complete and i hadn't done neither. Eventually they admitted I hadn't done it and I was then assessed properly under exam conditions as it should have been.

I believe this has been a continuous problem with this school after speaking to numerous students and this place needs closing down. They know exactly what they are doing. All they want is your money and will tell you anything to enroll and pay up. The cabin you work in is also very dirty, mouldy and cold. I could say more but at this moment I won't due to it be an ongoing complaint.

AVOID- Would give 0 stars if I could for the lack of communication from this academy, I began this course over a year ago (October 2022) and only just received my certificate in the post after hounding the exam board to help me for the past 6 months. In response to an email complaint I sent them the academy didn’t respond but instead they even sent me more work in the post, to which I didn’t complete. The academy never once reached out to me to apologise for any delay or to explain anything I was always the one contacting them every couple of months about my certificate to keep being told “they take a long time to come” and blaming the changing over of the exam board from OCN to AIM. The exam board confirmed to me almost a year later that they never even submitted my work and claimed it was submitted on a later date than it actually was! They also told me that the change over wouldn’t cause a delay! Despite receiving my certificate I was also told a first aid course was included in the price which was never given to me. This course costed me £3500 and for over a year I have had nothing to show for it. It has caused me a lot of stress and upset and I am not the sort of person to leave bad reviews but I feel like I have no choice after being massively let down by this company.

I would highly recommend The Academy @ Firtree, City and Guilds training centre
They have a variety of courses available and they are very flexible & supportive throughout their courses, as a parent this was invaluable. There is a small parking area and on street parking available
