I visited Dartmouth Visitors Centre on a rainy day in August. I found the information about the engine in the first room interesting. I then entered the shop, where one of the two members of staff left for a break. This left the woman in spectacles managing the shop floor. Some foreign tourists started asking her about free wi first, then about the 93 bus. She proceeded to give them a lengthy explanation on all! the sites from the bus. After waiting patiently for a while I smiled and held up a keyring, as it was not priced. She turned round and said "do you mind, I am speaking!". Now I hadn't spoken or shouted out, but found her attitude rude, she obviously liked the sound of her own voice. When manning the shop floor especially solo, staff need to learn better time management. They also need to learn how to speak to customers properly, I won't be back until they do.

'DARTMOUTH'..

You can get here by Bus, Steam Train, Ferry, Boat..

Walk here along the 'EXCITING and SPECTACULAR, WEST COAST PATH from BRIXHAM'..

Then cross the Dart River, walk along the wooded estuary path to 'DARTMOUTH CASTLE"..

A very popular tourist destination, with lots of historic architectural sites to explore..

Arrive in style, by 'STEAM TRAIN', enjoy the sights + sounds of this deep valley scenic estuary..

Just sit + watch the 'SKILLED FERRYMEN' on the lower crossing point, now their is a challenging skill of monouverabilty..

Follow your nose to the 'FISH and CHIPS', some of the best eateries on the South West Coast..

Even 'QUEEN VICTORIA' visited here..

'THE ROYAL NAVY' sometimes birth a ship or two on the river, not far from the 'NAVEL COLLEGE', which all makes for creative photography..

By the way 'THE NAVAL COLLEGE" is for invited guests, visitors, at certain times of the year..

Don't miss their 'FIREWORKS', which you can at times see + hear from afar, the 'WELL TO DO DRESS UP GLAMOUR', end of term 'COLLAGE EVENTS'..

(No it wasn't fireworks, sounded like guns going off, well it was, as they have an on site firing range)..

Depending on how good your photographic equipment is you might see an "ADMIRALTY LORD" or two..

On occasion those flipping low flying 'CHINOOKS' can rattle the window frames of these historic houses, some times other aircraft land + take off at 'THE COLLEGE", usually a "LYNX ROTORCRAFT"..

A good sized tourist information centre with lots of free informative leaflets & booklets to assist you with your visit to Dartmouth & its surrounding areas, plus there's also additional chargeable maps & books to purchase, knowledgeable staff to ask any questions you may have too.
