My husband has had lessons with Matthew for nearly two years and as a result of his progress, our son wanted an guitar and lessons for Christmas. He has had three lessons so far and when I come in from work on a Friday, I get to hear all about it and he plays what he is learning. John and Jack are doing so well and it is all thanks to Matthew for his patience and mentoring.

I’ve been having online guitar lessons with Matt for a year.
I always enjoy the lessons I have with Matt, I always come out feeling better and more confident about a song or section of a song we’re learning. Also I go away having more knowledge about a certain aspect that we’ve been looking at.
Because of my guitar lessons with Matt, I can now play through certain songs with the concept of timing. I can also play through a song or a chord progression using different guitar techniques.

I am very thankful and privileged to be having lessons with a professional musician like Matt, who is a great guy, always knows what he’s talking about and helps you out if you find your struggling on something.

I have a lesson each week, and each time I love it, always go away with a smile on my face.

My name is Alan Harvey and I am 74 years of age.
I have been having on line lessons with Matthew for three years.
During this time I have developed from just knowing a few basic chords to writing and performing my own songs.
Matthew provides great encouragement for me in this respect. He is also full of ideas and suggestions as to how I can improve my playing.
He is currently helping me to write and play my own riffs.
He has helped me to develop two different finger picking techniques during the last month.

I’ve loved music since I was a kid and always wanted to learn to play guitar. At 44 years old, I bought my first and I looked online for local and virtual tutors. I found Matt and we have been working together for coming up to two years, it is by far the best decision I have made. Not only is he an exceptional and patient tutor, he is the nicest lad and completely understands how I learn and what motivates me. I get to work on songs I love and I’ve went from single notes, to chords, scales and now we write our own riffs and licks. Matt has been teaching me for a few years now and as an older pupil his patience is needed with my hands and fingers not being as quick as his younger pupils. We have covered many styles of play and songs along with learning some basic music notation. Learning by Tab will help any beginner who has never read music gain confidence quickly and not be put off or overwhelmed by to much at once. My lessons vary between my/Matt’s choice of song or style of play allowing a variation and not being stuck on the same track.

Before I was just noodling with YouTube. now im not only playing full songs but understanding why it works and how to apply the theory to my own playing.

I'm a late starter with the guitar and at times I found the process daunting but I've left the lessons with a path forward.
