I cannot recommend Lissa and her pregnancy Yoga enough, I started going at 20 weeks pregnant, right up to 38 weeks. It was a highlight of my week where I was able to relax, stretch and learn some really useful techniques for life and my pregnancy journey.

Every week provided with new tips for breathing, stretching and strength work to aid my body through the changing nature of pregnancy. Lissa is always so welcoming and provides a safe place to practise yoga and share the amazing journey of pregnancy with other mums to be. I’d highly recommend going along.

I started going to Lissa’s pregnancy yoga at 32 weeks pregnant and was worried I’d left it too late, but I was wrong and I was able to get stuck in straight away! Lissa is amazing - she is so calming and uses a variety of techniques to create a relaxed environment (exactly what you need in pregnancy!). Although you are in a group (of people at different stages of pregnancy) Lissa somehow manages to make each session personal to you. I’ve been going every week since and can honestly say it’s having such a positive impact on my body and mindset! Would 100% recommend!

Wow! What an experience Restorative Yoga with Yoga Nidra, was. It was the most deeply relaxing experience I have ever had. From the ambience of the room: mood lighting, smells, candles, warmth, to listening to Lissa’s soothing voice expertly guiding us through, I was away in a world of my own. I can only sum it up as simply THE best way to de-stress and let yourself go! Needless to say, I can’t wait for the next session on October 25th.

I have attended both pregnancy and post natal yoga with Lissa. I highly recommend her classes, they are flexible, relaxing and welcoming. Lissa always tailors the class to individuals, both myself and my baby love the classes. Pregnancy yoga also assisted with getting and keeping my baby in the correct positioning for birth.

I joined Lissa’s pregnancy yoga class in my third trimester as I was struggling with back pain. The classes were welcoming, informative and significantly helped to ease my back pain as well as bringing me a much needed sense of calm and control as my baby’s birth got closer. I started attending Strong Mind and Body classes 2 months ago. Lissa and the group were most welcoming and are always supportive. All levels of experience are catered for with encouragement given to work with what feels right in the body on any given week. Lissa’s wealth of experience, professional approach and clear love of yoga ensure that every class is different but all are equally rewarding. An oasis of calm in a busy world.

I did baby yoga here from 2 months to 6 months old and both baby and I loved it. Each session starts with a bit of baby massage(some songs) and yoga. Then after, we put our baby down on the mat and can focus on ourselves for a bit and do yoga. The yoga sessions were great and always had alternatives for if you wanted to hold your baby. I would highly recommend to any mum and will definitely be returning in the future

I’ve been enjoying Lissa classes in Horton for a block of nearly 10 sessions now.I find her evening classes calm whilst also extending my practice. We work within our own physical capacity, focussing on our breathing,relaxation and being in the now ((an intention). I particularly like her use of poems as we relax at the end of the session.Lissa provides all the necessary yoga equipment. and the venue is perfect in being clean,bright and comfortable.A lovely hour that I look forward to. Thanks Helen.
