British gas are completely and utterly useless! I’ve been trying for over two weeks to get through to arrange a boiler service and have a smart meter installed. I’ve tried phoning, but no joy. Once I’ve navigated my round the awful phone system, press this or say that, I just get a message saying all line are busy and to try again later, then the phone is cut off. Why can’t I just speak to real human being instead of a bloody computer
I’ve tried booking things online. Same again, all I get is message saying, ‘Something went wrong, please try again later.’
British Gas, you’re more than happy to take my money, but you really don’t seem to give a fig about your customers. Your customer service is disgraceful, you should hang your heads in shame!!!
Sadly, with the way things are I’m stuck with you….
There that’s my spleen emptied!!!

Terrible customer service. Disgusting organisation and potentially taking advantage of elder customers.

My partner and I get quarterly bills through the post which includes both the pay online website address, as well as the "automated phone payment line".

Every-time I try to pay my bill online it says "customer not found" and when i try to register as a new customer it says "we're having technical issues".

And then every-time I attempt to pay my bill via the automate payment line it says "sorry we're unable to process your address move right now".

Being confused by the situation I phoned up the customer service team to find out why paying a bill online, or even registering an account is impossible.
And also to find out why after entering my customer reference number on an "Automated payment line", it just hangs up and thinks i'm trying to change address.

To my amazement, the customer service lady decided the hang up on the call also. I mean I wouldn't mind too much, if I wasn't getting charged for paying my bill 1 day late, despite attempting to do it numerous times.

So long story short, the customer service is atrocious and the organisation / systems of a company of this size is plain embarrassing. And they charge you extra, despite how difficult they make it to pay the bills.
Lucky I understand mobile banking etc, however grandparents could really be getting taken advantage of by this company. It's disgusting!

Shameless suppliers, hungry for money.They just start bills without informing people (where you will be with some other provider)and all of a sudden you get a bill stating you meed to pay the bill or action would be taken. When raising a complaint, they have their own policies and very poor response to your complaints. They finally end up the complaint saying you “need to pay money”. They are not ready to listen to customers and just want us to hear them always.
I feel fortunute to have opted out.

If I could, I would give even less start. Worst company ever!!!! My mother in law, poor lady, had no electricity after she came back home, was waiting for the emergency engineer to come all evening and he never showed up! They never even booked him in. Abselutely disgraceful, they don't care about people at all. The team is very unprofessional, completely unreliable, and have no idea how to help in emergency situations. Avoid at any costs if you can, will save yourself a lot of time and nerves

British gas are simply very very poor company bills keep going up when you try to chat to someone they either put the phone down or they fob you off to someone else Will now be seeking legal advise as the way we have been treated is not exceptable

I have been for 45 mins hold and than phone cut-off - very poor and pathetic customer services - They have given wrong info to Equifax which shows late payment and Q mark on my credit report

The worst experience of my life, after serving 10 years with the army I came out and set up my own business and worked for British gas as a contractor, i started in October and the training staff at able skills said I was excellent, I was servicing boilers for them until February then I have an inspection from a guy called Gary who said I was not good enough and sacked me he is one horrible man and I hope I don't see him again
