Mainline station on east coast and station is clean, tidy with helpful staff. Lots of food, drink facilities along with paper / book sales outlets. Parking is however limited and expensive.

A decent train station that does its job. I wouldn’t recommend trainspotting here as most trains worth seeing go down the avoider line.

As far as market towns go I've seen more quaint. There is a nice theatre and a couple of nice shops/spaces. By a couple I'm thinking two, maybe three. The town center is separated from the train station's neighbourhoud by a super busy and large 4 or 6 lanes road. The marketplace has seen some investment, but the vacated shops tell a more challenging story about the local economy. The woman driving a mobility scooter around does do her best to liven up the public space with banging tunes though.

A very clean and well maintained station. Deserving of the upcoming upgrades to the building and trackwork. Friendly and informative station staff.

The poor review is for the ticket machines. They need an update badly. Incredibly slow, not user friendly at all.
I can imagine Senior Citizens could really struggle with them; I certainly did.
Luckily there was an incredibly helpful human at the station who was fantastic.
