A lovely little addition to Darras Hall/Ponteland. This place has a lovely atmosphere, really attentive staff and great coffee. I thought their “build your own breakfast” was delicious and good value for money.

Had a Birthday Dinner here with family & friends. Lovely food & cocktails . Nice friendly atmosphere & live music . The only issue was two meals where removed from the table one had not been touched as my daughter went to wash her hands , she came back but had to answer a phone call so about 20mins she left her chicken salad , when she returned her meal was gone , in fairness no one noticed the waitress lift it as we where talking and taking pics . My daughter asked the waitress for her meal and was told oh to late it’s been put in the bin , absolutely shocking to lift a full meal from a empty chair , not ask or leave it , then return later . No my daughter had no dinner , nothing was offered in return that was shocking & she got charged for it !!!. Then a 2 course meal was chosen one of the courses was booked right at the start to be a take away , nothing was prepared for us on our departure so she never got that either . The shop was nice we bought a few things .

Lovely place for breakfast with good atmosphere and friendly staff.

Plenty of gluten-free options available on the menu and great coffee too.

Left feeling very disappointed, even hungrier than when we arrived and pretty disgusted at what they charge. I ordered a king prawn salad - £11.00 when it arrived I was gobsmacked, 4 prawns and a few pieces of watercress! Prawns were delicious however for this price they could have added even one slice of bread to mop up! The best was yet to come, my boyfriend’s chicken Caesar salad. £17.00! Literally about 4 slices of chicken, a couple of rashers of bacon and about 5 pieces of romaine lettuce! One beer, one juice to the tune of £38.30!
I wonder if they thought Darras Hall, let’s ramp the prices right up! Shame as the rabbit portions were tasty but we certainly won’t be returning! Davidson's is just a few doors down, lovely food, good value for money!

Very nice lunch today at Elkwater. Can highly recommend the burratta with fresh figs and honey. Also one of the best coconut milk hot chocolates I’ve had. It has a lovely little retail area too. Service was very very good.
