I had a deeply disappointing experience with First Class Education Centre in Preston, specifically with Samim, regarding my daughter’s Year 9 math tutoring.

Misrepresentation of Services: Samim assured me over the phone that she would personally teach my daughter. However, my daughter was instead placed with college students, while Samim only taught the younger children. Over a month, my daughter reported learning nothing.

I was never informed about the requirement to give one month’s notice if my daughter chose to leave.I wasn’t told that the 4-week advance payment included holiday periods when no sessions were held.The £40 assessment fee was not mentioned during the initial fee discussion, which felt misleading.
Despite my daughter attending only three sessions and deciding to stop, I was pressured to pay for an additional month. A random person was even sent to my house to deliver a bill. Following that, I received threatening emails from Samim, stating that she would involve bailiffs to recover £90 (£75 plus late fees) for services that were neither attended nor agreed upon.

This entire ordeal has been stressful and unprofessional. Sending threats over such a small amount, especially after failing to deliver on promised services, is unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend this centre to anyone seeking quality education or professional conduct.
Also, Samim has continuously been sending messages via WhatsApp and SMS, despite my previous request for her to cease doing so. Unfortunately, she has not adhered to this request and continues to contact me using different, unreal names.

I am so grateful to FCL for all of their support throughout the many years and all the family members of mine she has taught. Currently, they have genuinely been my grandchildren's (years 11 and 6) lifesavers. With the approaching exams and this stressful time, they have fully prepared them with their assistance. The academic performance of my children has greatly improved. Ms. Samim’s guidance and expertise have made a world of difference in my child's understanding and confidence. I'm so grateful for their assistance in aiding my child's educational journey.

I was introduced to Ms Samim at the perfect time. My child was approaching year 6 and I needed some support to strengthen his techniques prior to year 6 SATS. Over the last year I can see the changes in my child and I am not surprised one little bit. Ms Samim was 100% observant and paid so much attention to detail when welcoming my child at her school. Even when he was reluctant to attend she didn't give up on him and for this I will be forever grateful. His strengths were picked up on straight away and Ms Samim immediately helped reduce the level of support that I needed to provide my son - so it was a win-win as we were left to enjoy more family time. Ms Samim is excellent at tailoring her program to each child individually and that's what makes this whole journey worthwhile. A class based approach is good but when needed she can tailor support individually. She does so much behind the scenes and I want her to know that as parents we may all have busy lives but we really do see the relentless work ethic that is embedded in you.

Ms. Samim is also an excellent communicator. She regularly provides feedback on my child's progress and responds promptly to any questions or concerns I have. She is always professional and respectful in her interactions with parents and students alike.

All 3 of my children have at some point been taught at FCL and Mrs Samim over the years . She has enhanced both their knowledge and self confidence and general belief in themselves. Each educational plan has been targeted to their individual needs which in turn helps consolidate what has been taught at school , as well as set them a step ahead b of their school curriculum . Mrs Samim and her helpers have always been patient and kind with my children.
My eldest daughter has successfully completed her 11 plus with FCL and currently is in Clitheroe grammar school, my youngest is currently doing 11 plus classes and I am hopeful that he too will achieve his targets with mrs Samim’s guidance.
Overall I have found FCL to be personalised to my childrens needs and I have the confidence that Mrs Samim has got decades of experience that she uses to produce successful and motivated students .

My son enrolled in FCL to prepare for the 11+ exams, and Miss Samim was truly a blessing. The 11+ demands a lot from applicants, and after some time, our son began to feel overwhelmed and frustrated with the level of commitment it required. He was on the verge of giving up on meeting the expectations.

Miss Samim came highly recommended by our friends, and once our son met her and joined FCL, his situation completely turned around. She filled his knowledge gaps, instilled confidence in him, and with each session, his progress improved significantly. With Miss Samim's invaluable help, encouragement, support, teaching, and mentorship, along with her unwavering trust in our son and other students, the results exceeded our expectations.

Despite residing outside the catchment area, our son successfully qualified for both Clitheroe Royal Grammar School and Altrincham Grammar Boys in the Northwest, achieving exceptional scores. Even after our move from the Northwest to Buckinghamshire, Miss Samim's continuous support enabled our son to qualify for the Buckinghamshire 11+ exams next year through a late transfer test. She has given us countless reasons to smile, and we cannot express enough gratitude to her. Miss Samim's expertise in teaching and guidance, her love, and her encouragement have made an immeasurable impact.

We sincerely hope and pray that God blesses her with more love and success in her life, as students greatly benefit from fantastic teachers like her. She will always hold a special place in our hearts, and we extend our heartfelt thanks for her unwavering support to our son over the years. We are well aware of the effort she and her remarkable team invest in understanding the strengths and weaknesses of every student. Their dedication is truly incredible. Miss Samim consistently goes above and beyond, and as a family, we strongly believe that our community needs more devoted, hardworking, and caring teachers like her. She is the ‘magical Mary Poppins’
