Blackburn College University Centre is a nice and cosy atmosphere to do Adult Courses and the tutors are loyal and friendly.

When it comes to being in class, they allowed me to take hot and cold drinks and cold snacks into the classroom which made my time at Blackburn College feel like home.

I just cannot praise the tutors enough as they have always been really supportive and they always respect my health needs.

The canteen and the library in the University Centre are both cosy and you can do your coursework in those areas.

I am definitely looking forward to returning to Blackburn College in September for further studies.

Excellent tutors in the photography department. Decent canteen. Poor high management (at the top) lack of care for facilities and using dated equipment for modern use (simply not adequate and they been told for 3 years) 1 star deducted for facilities

If I could give 0 stars I would. I joined a foundation degree in September 2022 and was forcibly withdrawn at the end of February 2023. As a student recieving disability support, this was very distressing. Especially as the reason for removing me from the course was due to me 'falling behind'. This was not the case, as I did my own work and further research. The tutors could have supported me but chose not to, as they were too busy striking for more pay.
As a university that 'prides itself on the fair treatment of disabled students' the support in place for vulnerable students was a joke.
I have now been left with crippling debt and when I tried to appeal the decison and make a complaint, it has been a month, and nobody will respond to me.

Terrible experience, tutor was not interested in staying for full hours on a once a week evening course. Complained to the college and still received no support. In addition the car park for the university campus is having constant issues with its payment system, myself and several more people on my course alone received fines with no success in our appeals.

i booked an evening course ,and i had to cancel the course because of a family member was in hospital, and i had to care for them in the evening. So i rang them to cancel the course and i was going to rebook the course further down the line. over the phone and the lady on the other side of the phone told me , i will get £20 admin fee and i will get rest of the refund, i was happy with that. few weeks have gone by and i didnt get no refund so i rang again and the lady on the other side told me i have to email to cancel the course and i will get refund in 20days time. today they took £20 + told me i will only get 30% of the total fee back .. i rang them again to explain the issue and the Receptionist was a joke and laughing at me and i told them i have proof of cancellation of the date i rang. she started to laugh at me (not very professional ) and they didnt even comply , i am not that rich , i work really hard for my money and just get by end of the month . really heartbreaking experience

My marking is due to the parking system in place, you need a degree to understand the rules for parking especially for the blue badge, there is always plenty of room but are you allowed to use it, no one seems to know?. How can you obtain a parking permit?

Can’t believe they get away with calling themselves a University. Absolute joke and disgrace. Staff are awful and have no idea on how to run a course.
