A community centre that turns away elderly.

After visiting the craft fair next door, my elderly mum who has health condition regarding her bladder went into the community centre to use the toilet.

She was hassled by a rude little man, who told her off for using the toilet even though we explained her situation. He explained that they go through 36 toilet rolls a week, which was unnecessary and made her feel awful.

Come on people, learn to be KIND. Especially as a ‘community centre’, it begs the question just what community are you serving?

Also the little fella on the front desk needs reprimanding himself for being so rude and needs some guidance on how to treat the local community.

Poor ventilation
No windows or doors are allowed to be open
A/c works but drips water nosely onto the floor. Just what is not required in a classical concert. Very off putting.
Chairs uncomfortable
Toilets good

I only used the community cafe, but the prices were great considering other prices locally and the servers were friendly. The drinks were nice (as apparently were the scones). Loses a star as they had run out of soft drinks (except water) and the small serving hatch meant that queues formed quickly and there was a wait for service.

Frequently has craft fairs/events with stalls, selling a range of goods often artistic/handcrafted. Definitely worth visiting if you're in the area when one is on, if you like unusual items. Great for those who don't just want generic "off the peg" type goods.
Most stallholders friendly and easy to talk to.
