Uffculme academy school or Uffculme high or whatever name you have is definitely not the best in the southwest but it could be. Under Mrs Heath, the school thrived but after having my youngest sibling attend, it's certainly not the school I remember it to be.

Teachers back in my day were excited and engaged. Mr maddocks was the best for RE. MR Foster truly encouraged a love for physics and Dr Glanville really helped with Biology. I wouldn't be in the role I am in now without them.

However, now it seems like the schools funding has been cut and they aren't sure how to proceed. Teachers need to be excited for classes not counting down the hours. Honestly, I'm surprised by this. Where are the assemblies, careers fairs and the amazing events that we had before, I know that some of the careers there paid to be there and that helped with funding.

I gotta say the bullying issue has always been there but to see that it hasn't improved is truly shocking. As I've grown, I know that a lot of it was down to the young farmers group but still shouldn't be affecting the school to this day.

Awful school.
My stepsons are constantly bullied and nothing ever gets done.
They say they are an anti bullying school, that's absolutely rubbish.
My eldest stepson says one of his bully's is the anti bullying ambassador. That says it all.

Awful, serious bullying issues. They do essentially nothing to stop it even if you have evidence when you report it. They’ll twist things around and accuse you of lying when you report bullying. The behaviour in lessons is awful, the pupils run the lessons and staff don’t give a care in the world. It really is shocking. The teachers on the whole aren’t helpful and certainly do not care about your child. Many of them don’t help when you put your hand up and some get corrected by their students. One teacher even admitted in a lesson that he ‘doesn’t care if you fail your exams because he gets paid the same either way.’ Some teachers even insult their students and swear in lessons at their free will. The food is disgusting as well, it’s either burnt, raw or just vile.
The SEND support is utterly non existent. The school is atrocious and it will decimate your child’s mental health. Avoid.

all of the good teachers are gone!
no more mr bertram, mrs luing holmes, mr williams, mrs ballantyne, mr abbot, mr trevaskis, mr wilson, mrs bevern, mrs steel, mrs gannon ...ect.
but we do still love the school!
i got hit in the face with a ball and my glasses broke and they still havent done anything about it -.-
i ask to do my exams in a different room and i have a valid reason, but no! i have to do it in the sports hall with everyone else.
some of the teachers give you detentions when you havent even done anything wrong.

There was serious bullying it took over a school year, just to get 1 group to stop bothering me, and I reported bullying twice (I don't remember the details) and they never responded, and the bullying just kept going on, year 7 was the worst, year 8 was nearly as bad but was a bit better, plus Homework, they don't make you motivated to do it.

You can't fault the results you'll walk out of that school on results day but their actual ability to tackle larger problems that mean fair more than silly grades is very poor.
