Absolute gem of a b and b. Easy information regarding self check in. Rooms are exceptionally clean and the beds are so comfy. Mini fridge with fresh milk, cartons of juice and yoghurts, boxed cereal with bowls, tea and coffee making. This is the second time weve stayed here and can't fault it one bit.

Has to be the best warm welcoming place in Dalton. Tim and the staff are just so accommodating. Lovely coal fire and a huge transformation makes the place our favourite place to visit 😀

Our car broke down so we were unable to stay. The owners have very graciously allowed us to refund or move our booking though it is non refundable. Much appreciated 👏

Was beautiful place. Staff were great, rooms spacious and clean and great touch leaving the cereal, yogurts and milk in the room.

Pub has lovely outdoor seating area, mini lobby for guest that are stating with a coffee machine too.

Would definitely return and highly recommend

Red Lion is an amazing and traditional English pub. You have about 8 rooms located on top of the bar and the room I was given was absolutely fantastic. The receptionist was clear and really helpful, he explained and showed everything that was needed. The location in itself was amazing, would definitely recommend.

Just had a lovely one night stay in a family room . Room was really nice with the perfect en suite . The accommodation has a communal lounge area with a coffee machine , plates and cutlery. A lovely touch in the room which was not expected was you are given a complimentary breakfast , cereal , yoghurt, juice and milk ! Will definitely stay again x

The room was so clean and airy, beds were spotless. Shower room and loo also spotless. Tea and coffee facilities in the room and also a lovely communal room with massive sofa, tv and coffee machine, ample milk, sugar and biscuits!! Lovely touch the kids favourite too. We didn’t expect the pint of fresh milk and yoghurts in the fridge and the cereal was a lovely touch, we ate our breakfast in the sun on the lovely garden bit outside our room. Can’t fault this hotel at all. Lovely pub downstairs and surprisingly no noise that stopped us from having a very good sleep. The staff were very helpful and attentive. Wouldn’t hesitate to return when visiting the Lake District.
