Informative initial call with friendly agent. Signed up for Silver Automatic package and paid my deposit. I already had my theory test booked for a few weeks later, passed and then let LPOD know. After a week, they emailed me to say they were unable to find instructors in my area and had cancelled the booking and retuned the deposit. Such a disappointment. 2 stars for at least returning my deposit quickly

On November 2023, I made an initial deposit with LPOD to engage in driving lessons. Since then, despite my earnest efforts, I have encountered numerous obstacles and setbacks. Despite successfully completing my Theory test, each time I successfully secured a test date with reasonable notice my instructor would deny the test and insist I continue cancellation search.

Upon finally securing a test date and coordinating a lesson plan with my instructor, I was dismayed to receive a last-minute request to rearrange our agreed-upon schedule. Given the extensive delay in commencing my course and booking the time off work, I firmly declined this request. Subsequently, I was asked to provide a photograph of my provisional license for paperwork purposes. However, just two days before our scheduled lessons were to start, I was notified that my driving test had been cancelled "via candidate." I did not initiate this cancellation, as evidenced by my lack of access to the DVSA website at the time of cancellation and the fact that I had never accessed the DVSA website before this time.

Compounding these issues, communication with my instructor has been consistently inadequate. Responses were often delayed or nonexistent, leaving me feeling neglected and unsupported despite my investment in your services.

When reaching out to LPOD Academy (only via email as they will not answer phone calls), they dismissed my concerns and denied a refund. I cannot understand how I am not entitled to a refund when I have not received what I have paid for 6 months later.

Avoid this company - They will pocket your money and will always side with the instructor. The likelihood is you will be waiting for months with no guarantee of a decent instructor and when you do reach out, they will dismiss your concerns and frustration.

UPDATE: After waiting over a week to a response to my email, I mentioned taking this to small claims court and got a response, doubling down and declining a refund. My recommendation stands, do not give a penny to this company as you are not guaranteed to get the product you pay for.

Rubbish as a company, poor complication, I've had to get in touch with them multiple times after the date I agreed too on their site, then they cancel the lessons and think its acceptable as a company to threat paying customer that already paid like rubbish

Don't go with them I paid for 50 hours and they gave me a driving instructor who cancelled on me multiple times was late almost every lesson would constantly talk about her personal life which was off putting because of the nature of the topics being of a sensitive nature, and the car constantly smelt of cigarettes and after 20 hours of lessons with her i asked Lpod for a new instructor they refused and told me to deal with the instructor but they do not have to refund me so i was stuck with her. Also, as I had booked prior to the first lockdown and was unable to do hours during that time I got a threatening email saying they would cancel my lessons as I had gone over the time limit. Obviously as there were 2 lockdowns I could not do anything about this. When I had someone call them, they answered and a standoffish woman was being aggressive on the phone saying I was not a priority anymore as I had already paid in full and it was a long time ago and that new customers were more important, the woman also tried to claim I was on medication and had not declared it which I was not. The reason for this call to Lpod was simply to complain about the instructor and ask why they had cancelled again and this question was avoided 5 times until they finally made up an excuse. As well as this my instructor cancelled a test at short notice in favour of another student that she believed would pass. At the end of 40 hours she told me I was not ready and I had a driving test the next day and that she would not allow me to use her car for it. She said she would hold back the hours with the expectation of me failing. I did not fail and when informed of this I was not offered a refund for the 10 hours not used. I took a few hours driving that night with my friend and gained alot more confidence than I had ever got from the instructor who only took me on the exact same route every lesson

I was a bit sceptical at first of what sort of service they could provide at the price I was quoted but I needn’t had worried.
As we know these past few years have been very difficult for trying to get a driving test date, my Sons test date moved 3 times in 6 months but from day one to the day of my Sons Driving test, I was kept updated, informed and given options. I had booked an intensive course for my Son so the fact that that was all taken care of by Lpod was very impressive.
I would recommend them highly.

Please do not use this company, if you are lucky enough to be placed with a good instructor great. I thought was placed with one who has a history of lateness, cancellations and taking your money without providing lessons. Lpod clearly didn’t carry out any due diligence and had no interest in assisting me. Basically have lost £2500, shameful company and the instructor Deborah Gething of Crawley who I was placed with
