We took my daughter for riding lessons for most of her younger years to Lucy & Stuart until she got her own horse. They both helped and gave her a lot of encouragement and support and friendship. She has achieved a lot with the guidance of Lucy & Stuart on her own horse.
This made me want to start learning to ride as an adult. With their guidance, support and knowledge, I achieved something I had wanted to do for along time, My Son also had riding lessons and thoroughly enjoyed them and was encouraged and supported at all times.

Love it here!! I have spent many MANY happy years at this riding school, riding as a youngster to now owning my own horse who I have chosen to keep at Lucy & Stuart's adjoining livery yard. They provide a supportive and friendly environment with a keen emphasis on safety but always putting the horses' health & well being at the fore front of any decision. I would recommend this place to everyone (and I do). Irregardless of this though I think that fact that Eden Meadows has been running for 30 years with Lucy and Stuart being a large part for many of them speaks volumes. I cant wait to bring my little boy when he's old enough.

I have been riding at Eden Meadows for nearly 9 years and cannot thank the staff and instructors enough for everything they have done for me! The horses and ponies are not only super safe but also have taught me so much and given me experience that I don't think you can get anywhere else. Lucy has brought my confidence back massively and is always willing to help and and answer any questions. Everyone on the yard is always so welcoming and friendly and there is nothing I love more than chatting to everyone before my lesson, it feels like one big family! I cannot thank Eden Meadows enough for all the years of fun I have had there, from own a pony days to jumping lessons there is something for everyone! Keep up the amazing work 🙂

I would not recommend this riding school to anyone. We were on holiday in Norfolk and I wanted to find a nice Rural location stables for my daughter and her friend to go on a hack. We had to pay for an initial assessment of their riding ability which I totally understood however the owner of the stables Lucy was not only rude to the girls but incredibly undermining and without an ounce of encouragement during the assessment. They then proceeded to go out on a hack on two horses that were far too small for both of the girls. Feedback from the girls on the hack was that Lucy didn’t appear to be very aware of the girls whilst they were riding, lacked interest and appeared irritable and and appeared aggressive at some points.
All of that experience cost us £90 which I would not have minded spending whatsoever if it been a positive experience however it was quite the opposite. I don’t normally write reviews however I feel so strongly about their experience that I felt it was very important for me to do so.
Anybody looking for a local friendly encouraging stables I would encourage you to go elsewhere.

I took my daughter and her friend to this stables for a nice hack as a birthday treat. On arrival they had to have an assessment which I totally understood however the instructor Lucy was quite rude, undermining and demeaning. No words of encouragement were given whatsoever! The horses they were allocated were far too small for them and she didn’t offer to change them. They then went out for an hours hack and they fed back to me after how rude and disinterested Lucy was during the hack. On occasion they said they felt quite uncomfortable as she came across a little aggressive in how she spoke to the girls.
My daughter and her friend came away from the experience quite upset and disappointed and it cost us £90! I would not recommend this stables to anyone.

My daughter aged 6 enjoys riding at Eden Meadows and looks forward to going each time, the staff are very friendly and great with younger children. The ponies are well suited to the children riding. The whole centre is superb with disabled access riding and a covered arena being used for the lessons.
