I cannot recommend FCL, Sutton highly enough. My son has been studying with them since 2020, first in person and then when we moved out of Sutton to online classes from Dubai and the results speak for themselves - he recently achieved a grade 8 in his early Pearson IGCSE English Literature and Higher Maths examinations, which is an outstanding achievement.
Throughout our four-year journey with FCL, they have demonstrated exceptional dedication and expertise. Their teaching methods are thorough and adaptable, ensuring that complex concepts are broken down into manageable parts. What particularly stands out is their ability to keep students engaged and motivated.
The consistent support and structured approach have not only improved my son's academic performance but also boosted his confidence in both subjects. Their commitment to excellence and personalised attention has made a significant difference in my son's academic journey.

The lady bragged to me how professional and excellent their teaching was and tricked me into signing their unreasonable contract at Sutton Library. But later we discovered that their tutoring places had no teachers, no classrooms, and poor management. Children of all ages are together. Each child was given a few pieces of paper to do on their own, and there was an unprofessional young staff member at each table holding a thick answer book to help mark the children’ work sheet.Questions that the child does incorrectly will be returned to the child to continue without any guidance or explanation from the teacher. During these 45 minutes, the children actually sat down to do the questions for less than half an hour. That's what my kids went through there. This is simply not the form of mentorship we want. Nothing helpful for my kids. I felt cheated and left after 4 sessions. Unexpectedly, they asked me to pay at least one month's fees + fines. I have suffered a financial loss from being scammed and I certainly will not continue to pay them.

We have had a wonderful experience with Sha Alavi who has tutored our son once a week for 2 years. Being state educated, we were keen to make sure that he had covered all of the syllabus needed to sit the demanding exams at 11+, as well as experience in verbal and non verbal reasoning. Sha was always calm, patient, positive and never put pressure on him. He kept the sessions engaging and focused with a perfect level of homework given after each session.

The 11+ was not at all stressful when it arrived as our son felt really well prepared for it. He applied for 5 top schools and received 5 offers. We are absolutely thrilled and would recommend Sha as a tutor to anyone who is looking for extra academic support.
