My husband’s Aunt had a lovely respite stay. She said it was like being in a hotel and waited on hand and foot. The staff were kind and the food was amazing. She is looking forward to another stay soon.

I visit my Wife every day, because I miss her so. Sadly, she will never be the person that she was.
On the positive side, I feel happy with her being in Lanercost House where she is as well looked after as she could be, considering her condition.
All the Staff are so friendly and I consider them to be my Friends.
The Home is well run. As it was a purpose built property it is roomy and has all the facilities needed to care for people who sadly can no longer live at home.
The refurbishment that is currently being carried out, maintains that high standard.

It all comes from the top and the manager Janette is excellent with a patience and passion for what she does which transfers to the staff. I have visited my brother numerous times and always found all staff pleasant and helpful. My brother enjoys the meals which are good and is happy there.

This is a wonderful care home. I have one relative who is a permanent resident and one who goes in for respite care.
.The whole place is beautifully furnished and more like a hotel.
All the staff are caring and work tirelessly to ensure the residents are well looked after.

There is no other care home I'd want my Father to go to. The staff are all so lovely, kind and helpful who go above and beyond to help you - particularly Janette, the Manager who is so caring. The home itself is like a hotel, with it's little bistro, lovely dining room and bedrooms. You don't feel like you are walking into a old, smelly care home, but a lovely enviroment, where you know people are going to be well looked after. And the cakes are to die for!

I was incredibly impressed with the entire team at Barchester Lanercost House Care Home. Everything about the team and facilities are top notch! I feel lucky and grateful that my grandmother is in this facility. I know that she will be cared for exceptionally, which puts me at a great deal of ease.

One of my parents resides in this home on the basis of the excellent care my aunt received over 5 years ago. The home is immaculate, the new receptionist is a great asset to the home and so friendly. I find all staff very friendly, and caring regardless of their role in the home. Our family highly recommend this home.
