I had the Xmas meal this week and it was delicious. The turkey was so succulent and the veggies was perfect..The Xmas pudding was such a large portion. It was very moist and delicious!! The best I have ever had..Everything was cooked to perfection!! Definitely recommend Tameside one Restaurant.
Well done to everyone involved. We all had a great evening and we will definitely be back..

An amazing college to learn the trade of catering , serving , baking , top of the range equipment & work areas for different sections like bread , cakes, meats, It offers the best training if you are seeking a career in these fields . They even have a restaurant where the students cook for customers & serve them . They have a shop where you can buy their fresh produce what an experience for students ! Teachers & managers come from high standards of backgrounds passing their knowledge on to students ! I am writing this as I was invited to an event 10/10 to the chef students looking after us today ! Enjoy the pictures! Everything which is made is by the students & served by students giving them the experience they need to work in environments of the trade !

We have visited the restaurant a number of times and would definitiely recommend it - last night we were lucky enought to have a five course taster menu for £10. The food was beautifully cooked and very well presented. it is a great place to visit if you want to experience high quality food at a very low price.

Great food ...limited choice. I had tomato soup , chicken with vegetables and chocolate brownie for £12. Waiters attentive and friendly. Good location in centre of Ashton. Gets fully booked. Great to see young people learning a trade.

Not been before , it was lovely 🙂 . Waiting staff very efficient, the young waiter we had with the curly hair did a great job and should believe in himself 😊. Not easy to wait on tables. Dud a really good job. They were all very polite and looked after us well. Will be returning for sure. Well done to the whole team 😉

Computing department of the college has gotten significantly worse due to mismanagement.

It was relatively good about a year ago when the old head of computing was there, but the new head of computing has a lot of issues.

The first most glaring issue is that, allegedly, she isn't actually even qualified to teach computing. And I at least know for a fact even if she was qualified to do so, she doesn't do it. I dont think I've seen her face once, be it in a class or around the college. So I dont know how she could be qualified to lead computing.

Second, the students are now treated like high schoolers rather then college students. And because they're treated like that, they act like more like it then they would have before. You have to give your phone to the teacher before every lesson starts, if you're even 1 minute late you're marked as late on the register, if you're attendance drops below 95% you could be completely kicked out, etc.

Because the students are treated with even more strictness and even less trust then high schoolers are, there's noticeably more people who act immature or cant focus on their work. A lot of students are also completely banned from using teams chat, which would make actually important communication significantly harder.

I'm not a teacher here, but I've also heard that the new head will get angry at the teachers for things that aren't their fault. For example, students not wearing their ID badges outside of class, or not showing up to college. This is, again, an example of the college students being treated like kids who aren't responsible for their own actions. It also tells me there's most likely a toxic work environment, with the management thinking they know better then the teachers.

The time table planning is also pretty terrible, and it means if you get unlucky you'll have to do a lot of you work from home. or you might get a 3 hour long break in the middle of the day. This is another example of how the work/ learning environment could be bad, because if you have to catch up on 2 days worth of lessons in 1 day because you dont have enough time with one of your teachers, you'll feel completely burnt out and unable to focus or learn by the end of the day.

Overall, the computing part of the college has just gotten significantly worse since the old head of computing, which isn't a surprise because the old head of computing also taught computing and didn't treat the students as if they were unruly 14 year old's.

Some of the teachers, are great, some can hardly be called teachers, but the main issue is just that its completely mismanaged.
