This college is absolutely terrible. My teachers are always calling in sick and not turning up to lesson, always on their phone, not teaching and leaving the classroom and sitting in the office. Even during class, I am made to feel uncomfortable for not getting things right not only by the teachers but by the class. Even the teachers for other subjects aren't great. I would not recommend this college WHATSOEVER as there could be MANY IMPROVEMENTS. Part of the staff here at Sheffield College had also agreed that "teaching at this college is not very great" and that "we're paying teachers and then they're not turning up and just calling in sick". It's ridiculous. I came here to my course looking forward to it. But I feel I have been let down massively.

2/5 - read this review. 2/5 and not 1/5 due to the staff that DO care and ARE supportive and help (but unfortunately not many and needs HUGE improvements to a lot of things).

Thanks.

Generally good teachers and most of them trying to help you...2 stars off because of the amount of chafs and rubbish they leave after themselves...you are almost full grown adults learn how to clean after yourself. Shame on you.

I was glad when I left Hillsborough College, as I used to get stressed and anxious in lessons. I had new routes support which took abit of my stress and anxiety off. Didn't hang out with many people, as most of the time I was on my own with my new routes support worker. It was nice to hang around with some of my mates from my old secondary special school and too meet some new people.

I love going to my weekly pottery class at Hillsborough College and have really missed it during covid. Sad to say the registration process is truly atrocious. For a non examination evening course the sign up process and payment process should be straightforward. Sadly not you are treated just the same as a full time examination course. Way to much paperwork and an in person appointment - really necessary?
