Incredible gym, by far the best gym in Notts/Derby area. The equipment is fantastic. As a smaller human, I often struggle with generic machines, but the equipment here is adjustable and suitable even for petite people. It's clean and spacious. The equipment is divided into areas, lots of variations of things to try, great for training compounds and accessories, plenty of weights, racks and machines. Functional area and boxing area upstairs. Lovely changing rooms, friendly staff, variety of shakes and snacks, music isn't too loud, free parking. (£25 pm for NHS staff! It's a steal!) (Day pass used to be £5 but now £7 but it's such great value for money). All round, good vibes.

It's hard to get a bench or machine at peak hours. Guys don't clean up their previous weights so if they've left a 20kg above head height... Better activate the core! The running machines all face a black wall, or if you're lucky a TV with a 3 min rolling ad for their products. The floor covering around the free weights is lumpy and has holes in it... Accident waiting to happen. Taking all that aside, it is a decent gym with the equipment, the staff are friendly, it's got an okay price, it just needs some tlc as it seems to have been left to its own devices, and not being able to get a machine or getting cold while one becomes available is a bit shit. Good for a student, if you're a professional not so much.

One of the best gyms I've been to! I'm not from the area so visited with a £5 day pass, such a good price for what you get! The equipment is first class as well as the staff who are welcoming and friendly. Loved the atmosphere and tunes, really get you motivated for a good session! I won't hesitate to come back to this place.

A pretty good gym across multiple floors and good equipment selection. Friendly staff make this a welcoming gym too.

Today is my first day in physique evolution. I had a great time with Ali Maughan who is my induction class trainer. Such a wonderful person who taught me with perfect demo of each and every machines, which I didn't know before, he took extra time to taught me thats the best of him. So friendly and a kind person. Honestly, I had a happy feeling once I finished my workout today. The environment and people's are so good. Especially all trainers are amazing, very friendly, and helpful. Thanks Ali, for your time.

Amazing gym with great machines and an on-point boxing/muy Thai area upstairs.

The machines are brand new and the crowd is super friendly. The area is safe and 10/10 on cleanliness.

Sadly, some staff have no empathy for the people that can’t cope with unbearable loud music. This gym is only made for the young and strong night clubbers.

Despite being sold on the ‘upstairs’ music being much lower than the downstairs - that is simply not true. It sounds much louder up there because it's more compact and not very busy so there are no machine noises to buffer the sound.

At 5:30pm on a Saturday I was upstairs on my own with the music blasting and I kindly asked the reception lady to help me lower it a bit, and she made me feel like an outcast and made sure to make me aware she was doing me a one-time favor by turning it down while ‘name dropping’ her ‘manager’ as he chooses how loud it gets.

The general manager is aware of this request and has acknowledged my email by replying taking just enough accountability for how loud the music is and what type of music they play. Thanks!

It’s been very disappointing, before I signed up – I called the gym twice to have this music conversation and I visited upstairs with a trainer who showed me a lovely space with bearable music volume but for some reason it's no longer that way.

I’m still a member and give them my money but it’s only because I have no choice.

I highly recommend this gym for those who have no issues with knowing that there is a way for the gym to be inclusive and turn the music to a volume that allows everyone to enjoy their workouts but they simply won't.

In PE no one cares if your brain is frying, just tough it out.

Love this gym!

Can be very busy at times but thankfully I go off peak most days.

Equipment is top notch and unlike most gyms they refresh the pads on them to keep new.

Staff are nice and friendly and cardio section is good. Dedicated lighting room is class and sun beds.

Best gym in Derby IMO. The range of equipment and the split across two floors is great. The staff are always friendly and really helpful if there is a problem which there barely ever is. The gym has a great vibe with friendly regulars and the group that train early morning are the best. Great range of music too and I look forward to the RnB Thursdays plus the classic 90's dance! Keep up the good work.
