As a professional actor, despite my over 20 years of experience, The Bridge TTC Post Graduate/ Post Experience 1 year course is of great importance in helping me understand the industry in the UK and allowing me to renew myself with the exceptionally intensive practical training program. The Bridge Theater Training Company is now a part of my family.

I’m a current student of the Bridge graduating in July 23. I always wanted to train at drama school but for many reasons I was unable to do so until last year. I immediately warmed to the Bridge when I noticed they accepted mature students so I took the plunge and I’ve never looked back. I can honestly say this has been the best experience of my life. I’ve met wonderful new friends that have become my family. I’ve spent every day learning from such experienced, caring and supportive staff (both internal and visiting) that encourage you to push yourself out of your comfort zone and I genuinely feel that I’ve improved as an actor since joining. I opted for the post graduate 1 year course as I already had some experience and it really has bridged and consolidated so much learning for me. It’s flying over but I know I’ll stay in touch with the Bridge for the rest of my career. Take the plunge - you won’t regret it!

Do not procrastinate!! I did for many years and kept wandering what it would be like to receive proper Drama school training. I took the plunge and auditioned at the ripe old age of 50 something and got a place!
I opted for the one year Post Graduate Diploma course as I had some experience already and quite frankly it was the best thing I ever did and the best year I ever had ! Being able to be a full time actor for a year and receive such amazing tuition was incredible.
I soon realised the Bridge was more than a school but a family . Supportive , kind , caring and able to make me feel relaxed , safe and confident. The year flew by and I can’t recommend the Bridge enough to everyone . Don’t look back and wish you had tried. Do it today !!

I trained at The Bridge 2008 - 2009 on the one year post-graduate acting course. It was one of the best decisions of my life and 13 years on I am delighted to still be working in the industry. The Bridge equipped me with the tools and confidence to enter the profession, as well as life long friends. For me it was a hugely nurturing environment to learn in and I would recommend it to anyone looking to train as an actor.

After hearing many horror stories about drama schools, I was worried that how, "The Bridge" is going to be, and whether the nice first impression would last through out the training. Soon I realised that I didn't have any reason to worry as The Bridge Theatre Training Company isn't agist, racist, sexit; there's no snobbery and they allow freedom for individual creativity, they are there for you so that you can get the best results.

The Bridge TTC has been just the most amazing experience of my life. It is a dream come true to train at a London Drama School and for The Bridge to see my talent and recognise my working class background and not let it affect my future, makes me so proud to say I am a Bridge graduate. I graduated on the 1 year Postgraduate Professional Actor Training course in 2022. The practical elements that make you push out of your comfort zone has been one of my highlights. They told me I could so I did. They offer lessons on Meisner to Laban training, period dancing to contemporary dancing, Melodrama to Shakespeare and much more! My favourites had to be Animal where we observed animals and their traits to then embody them for 3 hours. I also loved stage combat and our contemporary play at the Cockpit Theatre. The best moment was being on the West End stage of the Criterion Theatre and performing my heart out and watching my fellow course mates shine on that stage! My comfort zone got pushed a lot which im glad about as singing has always been a weakness of mine and I was always petrified of doing in front of people. I felt though I was not being judged in my singing lessons and now I am practising singing everyday even after graduating. Downsides of the Bridge... the course went too fast, can I do it all over again?! I have seriously had the best time and met amazing, talented actors who are best friends for life. The Bridge continue to offer advice and support after graduating as well as regular catch ups with the tutors. Their teaching and guidance has helped me get my first agent and pursue my career in acting, something I thought would never happen. I have a lot to thank The Bridge for.

I had an absolutely fantastic time at the Bridge. There was so much warmth and care. It was a big family but at the same time I felt really valued as an individual and that my development as an actor really mattered. The teaching was excellent and I learnt SO much. My time at the Bridge was totally transformational and amazing.

I'm currently training at the Bridge TTC after deciding to change my career path to acting and it was the best decision I've ever made! The varied nature of the postgraduate course allows me to explore and develop in so many different styles of acting, which has provided me with excellent grounding for entering the industry. I also feel very lucky to have met such incredible and talented people - I've no doubt made friends for life!
