Played today, in my option it’s an excellent concept but could of been executed better.

I have a lot of experience using all types of simulators, and this particular one is a budget simulator at retail price of £1,700 for the swing monitor.

To put that into perspective a trackman is £20,000 and others are in the region of £18,000. So you get what you pay for in terms of accuracy and quality.

The price is £15/20 per hour which is the average rate but for other places with high end equipment.

I’ll start with my positives:
- I liked the privacy element and how it’s unmanned.
- Location is great and having something like this locally is a positive.
- Booking was straight forward.
- Door-code entry is brilliant

The negatives.
- Ceiling height is too low to use woods or driver. This is a BIG problem and not sure if can be sorted without moving locations. Nearly snapped my driver on first use and you can see the marks in the ceiling where others have hit the ceiling and a snapped old driver head on the side was a giveaway! (I’m only 5ft 10)
- The swing monitor is not good enough for commercial use and isn’t worth the £20 an hour price tag.
- Swing monitor also regularly disconnects during use, causing it to not pick up shots.
- Lighting was woeful and that’s being nice. No way to adjust brightness and single light above your head causes shadows below your feet which is off putting. To much light on the projector screen made the screen almost impossible to see the course you’re playing.
- Projector appeared to be low budget, low quality and very unclear.

Summary:
If you have relatively low expectations and just want to hit balls (IRONS ONLY) into a net, in privacy and give some approximate feedback on the travel of the ball or just there for fun, this is fine.

If you’re looking for something a little more premium for true feedback and accuracy such as a trackman to work on your golf game, then this is not going to hit the mark.

I will likely use again when I want to just practice irons

I popped in while staying with family in Blandford. I called the day before and confirmed they had clubs there but when I arrived although I found a full set of irons they had no woods and no driver. Given that I specifically wanted to work on those clubs this was disappointing. There was only one ball when I arrived, I eventually found 4 others stuck under the boards and behind the screen. All in all it's fine, even good, I just feel like with a little bit more effort it could be great. If you take your own clubs I reckon you'd have a better time.

Great fun. Went with friends, people with a range of different levels of golf experience. We played a course as well as doing some driving practice. It was easy to navigate the system. Recommended.

Amazing local facility, easy to get to, lovely interior, quality mat to hit off and accurate numbers. Very good pricing for what it offers, would definitely recommend.

Glorified PlayStation game, bit of fun for the kids but better off on a driving range if you want to improve your game. Not what I expected but something for a rainy day.

Not used a simulator before and liked the privacy of it however it kept disconnecting and not registering shots so was unable to complete even one hole of a course so used the driving range function which again only registered around 70% of shots
