Been riding and owned horses at this yard for 15 years. Fantastic community spirit with fantastic instructors. The work they do here for their disabled and disadvantaged clients is top class and so many have benefited from their work. I have seen the establishment flourish and grow under the management who put their hearts and souls into it. They are working so hard to accommodate a wide variety of riders and carriage drivers and tend to every individuals needs. I couldn’t recommend a more friendly and positive environment to learn how to ride.

Very impressed by these facilities which include a large under cover training area with lighting. Today was the second week of tuition for my 13 & 12 year old granddaughter's. They previously had 2 years lessons at another riding school but have showed a significant improvement in the two weeks. Toddlers, intermediate and advanced riders accommodated. Special lessons for persons with disabilities. Recommended.

The staff at Minnismoor have been fantastic, in helping myself gain my confidence back after a nasty freak riding accident due to my own lack of experience as a novice. They have been supportive and encouraged me at each stage of getting back in the saddle and correcting my habits to become a safe and secure rider by attending the Rusty Riders Club. There is a good atmosphere and the staff are fair and positive with excellent knowledge in how to improve as a rider. The horses are brilliant, well schooled and well looked after. My week would not be the same without attending the stables for my health and well-being. So if your like me and you have lost your confidence in riding then this is the perfect place to get back in the saddle, no matter what age!

Started riding here about 18 months ago when my youngest daughter wanted to have a riding lesson for Christmas and a recommendation from a friend to go here. From the first lesson we were hooked. I found my passion again for riding after about 20 years out of the saddle and this was all down to this stables.
Prices are very reasonable, all the instructors are fantastic, catering for all abilities and ages. The horses again range from those that are suitable for novices, and those with more spirit and responsive for the more advanced rider.
The variety of lessons are excellent and bespoke sessions to suit are also catered for.
Hacking around the area is very humbling and not matter how many times you've ridden out, it's still breathtaking views and you'd never get tired. My eldest daughter doesn't ride but loves the horse care side of things and again this is encouraged and she also feels part of the community. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

My daughter has been Riding here since she was 7, encouraged to develop at a pace that was not going to knock her confidence, the saying is so true dont run before you can walk, same with riding, no point cantering until you can walk safely!! Now 17 and hooked, she now has the confidence to take herself to a whole new level. This school benefits a huge community, affordable for those on low income, disabled riders, young people, toddlers and even include 'nervous nellies' riders like myself who want to learn and improve in a fun environment... I cannot praise the staff and volunteers enough.

Went there for riding lessons for around 2 months. For every single session, they were never ready and you would always have to wait 10 minutes before they were. I learnt nothing there, every single lesson you walk and trot around on a lead rein. I switched stables, been there for about the same time, and now I’m cantering comfortably, off the lead rein (I never needed it.) and have started jumping. Don’t waste your money here. Good for a treat, but if you’re looking for longer term riding lessons find somewhere else. The riding school I’m now at pointed out all of the things wrong about my position, which is now a pretty good riding position. Honestly. Most of the time, children taught us, and there’s was nothing beneficial from that. Some people have been riding half a year there and are still walking and trotting on the lead rein.
