Beautiful yards and very friendly staff with well looked after horses and mares. I have been riding for more than a year now and have never been disappointed. Learnt riding from scratch as an adult and feel confident as an independent rider now. Totally satisfied 😊

I can't say enough good things about Monarch Farm! Both my son and daughter have learned so much about riding and horses here. The instructors & helpers are amazing—so experienced and patient. Even though they do group lessons, it feels like each kid gets individual attention, which is fantastic.

The farm itself is beautiful and well-kept. They have a great variety of ponies and horses, all of which are so well cared for. It’s clear that the animals are their top priority, and you can see how happy and healthy the horses are.

One of the things I love most is how they match the kids with the perfect horse for their level. This has really helped my kids build confidence and improve their riding skills. The whole place runs like clockwork, thanks to the incredible staff who are always there to help and guide the kids.

If you're looking for a place where your children can learn to ride and truly understand horses, Monarch Farm is it. Highly recommended!

Monach Farm is an outstanding horse riding school, I strongly recommend it!
My daughter has grown in confidence since riding here & the camps have built her self-esteem & independence.
The ponies are extremely well looked after & the staff are helpful, friendly & very approachable.
My daughter loves her lessons & it's the only place she wants to be.
I will be getting my Niece set up for lessons as soon as she turns 4.

Astonishingly disgraceful experience. Most of the staff here are nice. However, my daughter’s last lesson here ended with her in the hospital with an injured hip, after falling off a horse. Now I understand this is something that can happen but the treatment towards my daughter of that entire lesson caused her stress and the aftercare was nonexistent.

From the get-go, the instructor (female owner of the farm) had a horrible and bitter attitude. My daughter has Tourette’s which can be triggered by stress and the farm are aware of this. The owner made several rude comments to my daughter such as “do you have a language problem” in front of the entire group (as she pulled the horse and my daughter on it aggressively to the middle).

Once my daughter fell off the horse, the owner failed to provide any aftercare in such an incident. Instead she tried to rush her back onto the horse to finish the lesson. My daughter was shocked and speechless.

We intervened and did not allow my daughter back on the horse as she was not ok and began crying.

Pictured is the aftermath of my daughter in hospital with an injured hip.

The owner, nor anyone at the farm, has contacted us since with an apology or even the slightest bit of concern for my daughter.

It goes without saying that we won’t be returning and I would NOT recommend this place. The owner has no compassion or people-skills and should be kept away from students, especially children.

The most amazing riding stables ever!!! Very well kept horses with experienced teachers and helpers, lovely ponies in many shapes and sizes and a boss who runs it all like a clockwork and will get you riding the perfect horse for every stage of the journey as you improve. They care about the animals very much, horses clearly come as first priority, and it is easy to tell they are happy and trusting. I have been going for riding lessons weekly for a few years now and plan to carry on for as long as they will have me!

Agree with the last few 1* posts.

Majority of the staff are lovely and polite young riders themselves. The owner however is rude, lacks socials skills and openly condescends, mocks and scolds children in front of other riders and shouts at the girls helping.

Zero progression or proper training. If you want your child to sit on a pony and go around in circles for 30mins, fine, you’ll get that. If you want progression, avoid at all costs.
