Nice hotel within steps from the castle. Nice staff, especially the parking attendant! Good breakfast. Wish the morning teas was a bit more robust though. It was weak and tasteless. Our room was comfortable. We would stay here again for sure.

We had our wedding venue at this amazing hotel. |We wanted a small wedding which was catered for extremely well.|The ceremony was at the Guildhall, and it was literally across the road.||The night before the wedding I stayed in the Topaz suite with 3 girlfriends. We all had so much space to sleep, have breakfast the wedding morning, and get ready. The hairdresser and photographer both came and the hotel was great with parking for them.||When the guests arrived after the ceremony, they all had a little drink waiting for them, which was in our package. Lots of seating by the bar for everyone. ||The photographer did his magic, taking beautiful photos of us around the town, which was very busy that day, and even tourists were cheering, clapping, and taking pictures of us themselves. We felt like celebrities, it's was amazing and crazy all in one. ||The wedding planner, Rachel, her expertise and guidance, was none short of spectacular. Nothing was too big or small. ||We wanted afternoon tea for our reception and it was beautiful. The staff were always on hand with making sure everything was ok and drinks were flowing. We felt very well looked after. |I'm gluten and dairy free, and they accommodated well. I also had my photographer take beautiful pictures of everyone enjoying afternoon tea as well. ||The wedding night, we stayed again in the Topaz room as a married couple, and it was just lovely. It's the best sleep ever. So spacious. Breakfast the next day again was lovely. ||Everything was perfect. |Highly recommend the Topaz room. ||They also have this beautiful fragrance in the lobby/ reception area. |I can't thank everyone enough for making our day blissfully wonderful. X

Location is perfect. Room very clean and even had a view of castle. The child bed for a 10 year old was a fold out so not ideal but good sleep had nonetheless. Check in experience could be improved to maybe add some warmth, recommend sights etc. That said would stay again if around.

We enjoyed our stay at Macdonald Windsor Hotel. Our room was nice and spacious. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, right across the street from Windsor Castle. The provided parking was very appreciated.

Tremendous hotel. First visit. Located right in the centre of Windsor across the road from Windsor castle. Large place considering the frontage.Room was brilliant, comfy bed, clean, spacious, good facilities. Service was perfect. Prices were reasonable considering the quality of the hotel. Would have preferred a little more selection on the breakfast buffet but it was tasty enough. Looked after our luggage before check in and looked after them after we checked out whilst we looked around, which we greatly appreciated. Would definitely recommend a stay here and would stay here again if we come to Windsor.

A Luxurious Stay in the Heart of Windsor!
From the moment we arrived at The Macdonald Windsor Hotel, we knew we had made the perfect choice for our stay. The hotel’s prime location, across the road from Windsor Castle, immediately set the tone for an elegant and memorable visit.
Upon arrival, the reception desk service was efficient and welcoming, making check-in an absolute breeze. The reception staff greeted us warmly and made us feel right at home. When we enquired about a possible upgrade, they went above and beyond, taking the time to show us a selection of available rooms (our thanks to Matthew). We opted for a Super Deluxe Double room with a castle view, and it was spacious, tastefully decorated, and complete with elegant bedding and furnishings.
Throughout our stay, room service was impeccable.
The buffet breakfast was a delight. The selection offered everything from freshly baked pastries, seasonal fruits and full English breakfast to cooked-to-order classics like Eggs Benedict. The service was attentive yet unobtrusive, making for a relaxing morning experience.
Overall, our stay at The Macdonald Windsor Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of comfortable accommodation, outstanding service, and an unbeatable location made for an unforgettable visit to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We cannot wait to return!

The hotel itself is in a perfect location for visiting Windsor and very close to the castle.|You’d think it may be noisy being on a Main Street but it was nice and quiet. |Reception staff seemed a little off and not very welcoming. My elderly mother found them a little rude to be honest.|However the concierge and bar staff were excellent, helpful and seemed joyful on their work and interactions with customers. |The restaurant area was so quiet we decided to eat out instead. |The rooms were okay. A nice size room but you could see some signs of wear in the decor. Overall a nice stay for a special event but the rooms need a little tlc especially given the price.

I traveled from the US and spent 9 days in Europe. This was my favorite stay because our room was spacious, we had a coffee maker, a fridge, a robe and heated towel warmers. The breakfast was phenomenal. There were so many options and it was beautifully prepared. The staff was extremely kind as inviting. The views were stunning and it’s located in the best area. Literally across the street is the Windsor Castle. The pubs and restaurants nearby were also warm and welcoming.
