I was staying for 2 nights on business. I had been to the hotel before and had some trouble with the heating but I thought it was a one-off! I arrived on a hot day and the room was an extremely uncomfortable 25.5C. It was set on cooling but it wasn't getting colder. I contacted the front desk and they said they would send maintenance. A man arrived played around with air conditioning control and said it would be cool within the hour. I went out for a walk and to eat. Coming back at about 22.00, my room was still 25.5C and unbearably hot. I rang down and explained the problem to reception. The receptionist said maintenance had gone home - and then hung up! I went down to reception and was told I would have to wait for a manager - after 15' she turned up and said no other rooms were available and offered me a fan. I had no other choice and took it - she said they would change my room the next day. I spent an extremely uncomfortable night even with the fan!||The next day on returning from business I asked to change rooms (my room was still 25.5C) and the manageress arranged. The new room was at 17C - freezing. I adjusted it to warm up and left the room. On returning hours later the room was still a freezing 17C. I went down to reception and the large receptionist man actually laughed when I told him my story. He said there was nothing he could do as maintenance had gone home. I insisted on having a heater. he told me to go back to my room and wait for something to delivered. I refused as it was late and said I would like the heater brought to me now. He said the heater was too heavy for him to carry (he was twice my size!) but eventually one came and I was able to drag it to my room. I spent a warmer night.||it is obvious that the hotel knows that in certain rooms their airco system doesn't work but they put guests in them anyway. Add to that the fact that most staff are very poorly trained and some have a very poor command of English. In addition the TV failed to work.||If the Hilton brand is not a guarantee of even a comfortable room and a reasonable night's sleep then I will never trust them again. I travel extensively for business but this hotel and all other Hiltons are off the list - they clearly have no regard for the quality of service their customers experience. The manageress offered me a free dring voucher - I wanted a good night's sleep!!!

Overall good hotel. Very convenient as location - just accross Euston Station, close to St Pancrass and British Museum, easy to walk to downtown. Nice Victorian building (but some amenities look like being in place since that era, without update!). Confortable beds. Quick check-in during night time. Hotel keeps bags after checkout for free, allowing walk in the city without carrying them. Not checked breakfast as price requested was high. Negative points: staff shall improve their service; very hot room at arrival, high temperature set in the room 26C, with aircon not being able to lower it to offer pleasant sleep - we kept window open for some time and turned off aircon to be sure room does not become an oven; lack of ventilation in the bath, which stays warm and humid for long time... Only one towel in the bathroom at arrival, for 3 guests, and more than half hour waiting to get additional 2 (and this was a late checkin, kids waiting to shower before going to bed). The sofa not prepared for sleeping in spite of booking for 3 persons (double bed plus sofa), another wait of 30 min to have room prepared by the receptionist (it seams they have to technical staff overnight, or room service, if something happens and you need support - and this was not a private house taking guests but a hotel part of an important international chain!). Rooms not sufficient soundproof, at least you hear everything on the corridor and the noise of machinery outaide building. Feeling of rusty and worn out interior, at least room wals, doors need some fresh paint and update... to be in line with expectation from a hotel belonging to Hilton chain. Overal pleasant stay, still with the feeling of overprice for the service received.

Stayed on a business trip with 5 colleagues. Staff were polite & helpful. Breakfast was extensive. Of the 6 of us, only 2 had aircon which functioned correctly - for everyone else it was stuck either far too hot or too cold. The rooms varied significantly in size. Some of the rooms were in serious need of some TLC (cracked & peeling paint, stains etc) while others were passable. A lot of outside noise coming in through the windows for all due to their ‘historic’ nature. It seems to very much be the luck of the draw whether your room is decent or not, but for the price that’s disappointing. Generally clean. Useful location for Euston.

Did not have the best experience at this hotel. We booked here due to the location and being Hilton Honors members. We were taking the Eurostar the next morning and it's only a few blocks from St Pancras station. Hotel was mid range in everything. The outside, the lobby seemed nice enough. Front desk people were ok, not super friendly or welcoming. We were assigned a room on the 4th floor. The room was very warm but we assumed it would cool off once we turned thermostat down. It did not and soon we were baking. I called down to Front desk and they changed us to another room. This one was better but the thermostat still didn't keep the room as cool as we like. The bed was comfortable. The shower the next morning however was piddling. Very weak. We didn't eat at the restaurant. One pro is they have a small bar adjacent to the lobby where we able to get a cold beverage. I wouldn't stay here again due to the air conditioning issues and weak shower unless I was sure those issues were fixed.

This Hilton is located super close to Euston station, which is so convenient if you're taking longer distance trains across the U.K. The neighborhood is fairly quiet, and I felt safe walking around late at night. There are lots of shops and restaurants and pubs close by too.||This hotel feels a little older, but it's well maintained. We were given a slight upgrade at check-in since I am a Hilton Diamond member, and we appreciated the extra space in our King Deluxe Room. The hotel has two small lifts so you don't have to lug your suitcases up a bunch of stairs.||I loved that the room had a tea kettle, tea bags, and a small package of Walker's shortbread biscuits (all complimentary). It was so nice to have a warm snack after a chilly day of walking around London.||The room was comfortable, including the bed and desk area, and the bathroom was nice (but it has one of those European shower doors that's basically a half glass door). That always takes some getting used to, because water just runs all over the floor! Everything in our room was modern and very clean.||This could easily be a five star hotel, but there's a major issue here: the windows in the rooms DO NOT OPEN, and management had the interior SO hot. I swear to you the hotel was heated to at least 80 degrees if not warmer. I had the idea to ask the front desk for a fan to borrow, and thankfully they had one or we would have absolutely roasted. It was so bad, we had to get cold rags to put on our heads. It was like a sauna in our room, and the window was SWEATING our entire stay (see photos). My advice: ask for a fan. I wonder if it would be hot in the summer, too?||Breakfast was included with our rate, and it was nice enough. Nothing too fancy, but lots of solid options and a very friendly restaurant staff. The restaurant is in the basement. There's also a small hotel bar off the lobby, and we took advantage of the complimentary beverage offer when we checked in. I was excited that my Coke Zero came with a glass of ice! That's such a rarity in Europe.||I probably wouldn't stay at this hotel again, but only because it was just TOO HOT during the winter months. It's a nice property and the staff is good, but I don't like roasting when I'm trying to sleep off some serious jetlag.

This is the second time I’ve stayed here for business and neither time have I been particularly impressed especially given it is a Hilton. This time when checking in the staff weren’t particularly friendly and didn’t even give me the information on breakfast location and times etc. They also forgot to add my honours account to my Booking so I didn’t receive the points upfront. The room itself wasn’t particularly great with the decor being a bit dated but the strangest thing was the window look directly out onto the restaurant. Had I opened the curtains with nothing on diners would’ve got quite a surprise! They were another couple of annoyances including a flashing red light on the phone that meant I had to unplug it and a particularly poor drink from the bar. All in all I will avoid staying here again.

A special mention to Monaliza in the bar who is very welcoming kind and attentive. Please ensure she gets a commendation well deserved.

Absolutely stunning. Such a delight to finally see more staff than guests. At Marriott it is the opposite. In fact at breakfast there were three managers and 3 kitchen staff and 3 staff in the restaurant. That is more than the actual guests at breakfast.

It was also good to see at breakfast that you treat all your staff well and are very inclusive. Respect to you.

There is major works going on opposite the hotel during the day be aware in case you are expecting peace during the day you will not. The final work to the Ambassador will look wonderful one day....

My husband and I were not impressed with the welcome we received while checking in. The gentleman at the desk was very unfriendly and we felt we were looked down upon. We had to question about breakfast. His reply ‘you want breakfast?, it’s 16 pounds! As if we couldn’t afford it! Not great for business! |Also, due to physical limitations, I felt the front entrance does not lend itself to those with physical handicaps. All stairs, no ramp.|The front desk staff the following morning were very helpful and provided assistance by calling a taxi and helping us with out luggage. |Emphasis needs to be made re accessibility.|Room was ok, nothing spectacular for the price I,e over 200 pounds. But I guess it’s all about location,|We won’t be staying here again.
